Practice...

It’s been a few days and in the meantime the Cullen’s invited some friends over. By friends I mean vampires. Only some of them are on the ‘vegetarian diet’ and the wolves aren’t really pleased about that. We’ve all been spending a lot of time at the Cullen’s because we need to find a way to get the Volturi to listen. If they don’t we’ll be forced to fight them.
There is this one vampire, Kate, she’s been helping Bella improve her ‘gift’ as they like to call it. So far, she’s been doing great. I was walking around in the living room watching them practice.

“I think you need more motivation Bella.” Kate said. She was going to take Renesmee but Jacob stopped her.

“I’ll do it.” Jacob says. There was no way I was going to let him do this. Before I could make my way outside she gave him a shock. His face scrunched up in pain. I ran outside to help him but one of the vampires held me back. Just as she was about to shock him something inside me ignited. It seems as if every time I use my powers I have no control over my body, it honestly scares me. What if one day I end up hurting the people that I love?

I looked at the vampire holding me back and I realized that I was hurting him. He was clutching onto his head as if it was going to explode. I was walking towards Kate, she was trembling. Not from fear, but because I was doing the same thing she was doing to Jacob and Edward, only I couldn’t control it.

“Avery, listen to me, calm down. Look at her, you‘re hurting her.” Jacob’s words made me slowly start to gain control over my body. Kate was slowly standing up. When I looked around I saw that everyone had gathered around looking at me in awe. Now I was the one shaking, I felt weak and horrible.

“You know, she could probably defeat all of the Volturi by herself.”  Eleazar said.

“Are you insane?! There is no way she’s going up against the Volturi. Last time she used her power she nearly died.” Jacob said.

“We could work on it, make sure nothing happens to her.” Kate said.

“Look, it’s not me I’m worried about. I can’t control it. Every time that I use my gift I lose control of everything. I just don’t want any of you to get hurt.”

“Why don’t we try, if you can’t control it after our sessions then we won’t bother you about it, ok?” Kate asked.

“Ok, so when do we start?” I asked.

“In a few hours, I’m starving.”
