Zanya left the group as they attempted to comfort Tetsuya. He wasn't sure how was he going to be much help in the first place. To be honest, he already knew that Kurai would reject Tetsuya's invitation. He just wasn't the type of person to open up.He sighed internally and went back to class as the bell rang once again, signalling the end of their recess. He made his way back to the godforsaken classroom for his next class.
There was no one around as they had already went to class. Zanya felt goosebumps prickle on his skin, as if he was being watched.
He turned around, there was no one there. Zanya felt silly, maybe he was getting too paranoid. But still,he did a through scan and quickened his pace slightly just for caution.
When she saw him leave the group, she knew that it would be her chance. She had quietly followed him, unknown to the others.
Suddenly, he turned around. As there was nowhere to hide, the female assassin jumped up to the ceiling and grabbed hold of a ledge. She swung her legs up to fit snugly against two pillars. She now had her back against the ceiling with her limbs supporting her weight, which to be honest, was no easy feat.
But she was an assassin, to be an assassin, you would be put in different situations which you would have to adapt to. If you are unable to adapt, you die. She prayed for him to hurry up and turn around.
In what seemed like an eternity, he was finally satisfied with the long check and strolled back to class. She quickly let go and landed lightly on her feet. He didn't notice her. Good.
She stretched her arm to relieve the strain on them. Strength had never been her strong suit, she relied on her wits to get the job done.
She secretly pulled out the katana that was hidden behind her back from its sheath. She planned to cover his mouth then slice his throat, that way,no one would hear his scream and his corpse would remain undiscovered until a teacher comes across it. By then, she would have disposed of all evidence.
She crept behind him and then reached her hand out...
"Oh, hi Kurai." She nearly screamed and quickly redrew her hand. Thankfully, he didn't notice it. Either that or his gaze was too fixated on her katana.
Wait, her katana... Oh no.
She quickly made a pathetic attempt to hide it behind her. "Is that... A katana?" Zanya asked curiously. She nodded, unable to say anything. She was caught red-handed.
Zanya was interested in the pattern on the hilt of Kurai's katana. He wanted to ask him what he was doing with it in the first place but he decided to shrug it off. "May I borrow it?"he asked.
She was caught off guard by his request, she immediately hugged the katana to her chest protectively. She loved her katana, she would refuse to let anyone near it. Even when they offered to help polish it, she would refuse. It was her most favoured weapon.
Zanya frowned when he saw Kurai's reaction. He felt disappointed but then again, he expected it. He felt a tad bit more sympathetic to Tetsuya.
" Don't you have to go to class? "She asked, in an attempt to shoo him away." Oh, shoot! Thanks for reminding me."
He quickly rushed back to class while she stared at his retreating figure. Zanya Kisuragi, he was quite sharp and would be harder than her usual targets. He was a challenge, but she had always loved a challenge.
