Chapter 17

It had been a week after the incident. It had been a typical day until they were surprised with good news that morning when the principal burst into the classroom, announcing that they were now able to visit Kurai.

Airi heaved a sigh of relief while Hiroki tried not to let his eye twitch too much due to his irritation of the ravenette. Zanya was more than happy to see him again (And probably get another fun-sized dose of his sarcasm)

"Kurai" sneezed whilst while being dragged back to her ward. Apparently, another stupid nosy nurse found her wandering around the hospital alone and demanded to know what was she doing.

Of course, she could not give a suitable explanation. Hence, her current situation. As much as she was tempted to plunge a knife in the nurse's skull, she could not do so in front of an entire crowd. She could only continue to let herself be dragged away.

She was abandoned in her ward when the nurse rushed off after a child running around shrieking happily.

She sighed and returned to the cold empty white bed. She played around the edge of the wool blanket provided for her out of pure boredom and yawned.

Suddenly, she heard a few brisk sharp knocks on the door. She tilted her head in curiosity, she did not have any friends, it would not make sense for anyone to visit her. Unless... It was her employer or Zanya.

She hoped for the latter as that fat old hog was absolutely intolerable. She quickly covered her chest with the blanket so as not to give away her gender.

An old silver haired man whose hair resembled an open clawed hand opened the door and hustled a few others in. She recognised Zanya, the delinquent , Airi and Aika. But the rest were total strangers to her.

Awkward silence soon suffocated the room as most of the students that came did not recognise her. Some awkwardly scratched their necks, struggling to find what to say.

Airi did not have any of those issues. She immediately lapsed into a fast conversation with her using Chinese. A language they were familiar with.

"谢天谢地你没事！我们一定要把那个臭小子除了！(thank the heavens you're alright! We must get rid of that stupid brat! )"

"不要急，我们不能让他们知道我们的真面目。(Don't rush, we must not let them know our true colours. )"

＂该怎么办，又是因为他。该把他除掉吗？（what should we do, it's all because of him. Should we dispose of him?)

She shook her head and put a finger to Airi's lips, urgently pointing to Zanya. Airi understood and immediately switched back to English.

Zanya approached her silently with a smile. "I heard that you were attacked, are you alright?" he asked. She simply nodded.

"Are you su-" "No, I'm going to die in a few minutes. Yes, of course I'm fine. " She rolled her eyes under her hood. So annoying.

" IS THERE ACTUALLY A SERIAL KILLER ON THE LOOSE?! Aika suddenly shrieked, causing the others to cover their ears and jump in surprise.

" Holy shit." she whispered under her breath , she rarely cursed but it was seriously loud. Her ears were still ringing from the shriek and it hurt. A lot.

"OUI AIKA, SHUT IT!" the rowdy delinquent shouted . The shout almost caused her ears to bleed. Her ears were very sensitive to sound she whenever she hears loud noises, it hurts her ears badly.

The metal handle on the bed she was holding snapped. Everyone immediately fell silent, not saying a word. "Those who are here to make noise... Get out."

Everyone immediately ran out. Except for Zanya and Airi of course.

"Um... I think I'll be going out..." Airi muttered before fleeing out of the door.

And now she was stuck with the who stabbed her when she tried to kill him.
