she dusted furniture, laundered his clothes, she cooked him delicacies and kept his glass full all hours of the day.
but soon, she began to wonder whether he truly cherished her.
but when one day, he brought home a wondrous solitaire for her to adorn her finger with, she had no doubts.
for he was generous.
