she showed the diamond off to everyone she knew, she played with it while she dusted, laundered and cooked. she never slipped it off her finger.
that was the biggest mistake she'd ever made.
she lost it to a thief. she lost the precious rock he'd given her and he was vicious to her.
he raised his voice and his hand. he beat her, claiming her worth would never be half as much as of the stone. he poisoned her with his cruel words and dragged her down into a pit she could not escape from.
and she was wounded;
for he was malicious.
