"No matter how much the people in this story focus on me, I knew it that this story was never about me."

"People around me made my personality and circumstances led me to my end...

                    Outcast

Being an outcast is not a new thing for me. I just belong anywhere; my kind of outcast is a different thing. People love me but I just don't even like most of them. I don't truly believe anyone to be my friend. I shifted here in Delhi three years ago and since then, I made a lot of friends but again because of my terrifying past experiences I never became seriously close to anyone.
Until I met Jenna and Katrina, we were best friends for a year and then our friendship broke down to pieces for some stupid boyfriend issue and thank god, I had not started trusting them truly by then. I took a planned revenge on them and they got ruined, however that's the point when I met Urvi Singh, we both never really noticed each other but by fate, we became friends just after my fight with Jenna and Katrina.
That fight... it really brought some amazing people into my life and they all brought a way of exit for my life and dreams. Everything was connected, I knew it but my only mistake was that I thought it was fate.
I was friends with almost everyone as I said before but ironically, that everyone did not include my best friend's best friend. Perplexed? Don't worry you'll get it soon.

"Having fun?" asked Urvi.
"Pallavi is eating my brains out but you know to get something you must sacrifice." Devendra laughed and then frowned.
"What do you want?" Urvi looked innocently at him.
"Pallavi is my girlfriend, I act nicely with her friends, attend her fake best friend's birthday then I can get my... you know hands on her–" He stopped as soon as he realized Pallavi gaping at him.
"Hands on her heart, I would win her heart for sure." He smartly finished his sentence.
"Awe, sweetheart." Pallavi came and gave him a peck at his cheek. "Urvi, leave your best friend for now, please! There is Drashti, have some time with your girl bestie!" she requested.
"Okay, I don't wanna interrupt carry on." Urvi gave a disgusting fake smile to Pallavi.
"You don't have to hate her that much." I laughed at Urvi.
"I have very good two reasons, one, she is now the best friend of Jenna and Kat. And second reason is that, Dev..." she began whispering now "Does not love her."
I laughed again.
Maanit patted Urvi's back, "Holah!"
"What news do you have?" I snorted. Maanit, has all sorts of news, he has been a good friend to me. When my fight was on, he was the one to be there with me.
"Katrina used to call me during your fight was going on...She called at odd times like night." said Maanit.
"I did not know that." I said.
"No one knows and seriously she thinks I was interested in her" said he.
"I know she had a crush on you" said Urvi.
"I just don't know they both are Mad." said I.
"But Urvi don't trust Maanit all the boys are like this only!" said Geeta.
"Hey! He is sitting in front of you..." I said.
Urvi laughed hysterically. Maanit started hiding his face. Geeta has a bad habit of throwing such comments, especially on boys.
"Yeah, when you wanna insult someone insult them on their faces!!"  Geeta laughed.
"Ha-ha very funny." He said sarcastically.
"Aw...Mr. girly is you ok?" Geeta said.
"Around you... never" he said.
"How is your Devendra doing?" I asked Urvi.
"Mine? Eh, I don't know much lately."
"Did he get nailed yet?"
"What?"
"Forget it, Urvi."
Devendra is her best friend so am I. We both barely talk but the funny part is that we both are always updated about each other as Urvi acts as the medium of exchange.
Pallavi burned with jealousy whenever she saw Urvi talking with Devendra.
"I'm not coming to school tomorrow." said Urvi.
"O-Kay."
That day she did not come to school, English ma'am gave us six topics to write an essay on so ma'am said, "Expected something unique from you like always." Everyone knows I'm a good writer. I sat at Devendra's seat because he was not sitting there. The seat was in the corner of class. In front of me sat Maanit and kept laughing cracking jokes. I said to him,
"Let me concentrate please!"
"Okay, sorry." He said.
I chose the topic "Wildness" after I wrote almost half of the essay. Devendra came and sat next to me.
"Can you check out my poem." said he.
I remembered that we can write a poem or an essay.
"Okay." I took his sheet and saw the topic, "My friend of loneliness". He wrote a beautiful poem but I was surprised because his thoughts matched mine and he mentioned about his love for darkness. There were some mistakes and I corrected them.
"I knew you would make this perfect!" he said in his calm voice.
"Write a little more..." I looked at him.
"Yes...I should". He looked at his paper and started writing. I also started. His work was completed before mine and stood up and went to submit his poem. Everyone asked for his poem and he refused to show it to anyone. He sat at my seat and waited for me to complete. As soon as I was done I called him,
"Devendra..." I gave him my essay. He read that after a minute he said, "Your thinking is beyond...The first line is awesome. Should I submit it with mine?"
"Yes..."
He went and submitted that. That was the first time in last some years I joined the school that I had noticed him. His face was rectangular maybe and his face was skinny; just like diamonds his face had fine cuts. His eyes intense, hazel brown eyes and he would look perfect as a stealthy killer. His nose was rounded and small, tip turned up and I thought it funny to describe someone's nose. I have to become a writer so I have to do these things. His lips were thin, small and maroon colored.
Later, I read Maanit's poem which was hilarious. The funniest lines were
"When I'm sad I become my friend of loneliness because no one else can be my friend of loneliness when I don't have any money in my phone to make a call...When I'm sad I sometimes think of going to the mall but I don't have any money to spend so everyone says LoL..."
Well, Maanit was hopeful that he would bag the third prize by hook or by crook. After all he is a son of a bigshot.
