(Y/n)'s Point of view

Peridot and I seemed to form a bond. She was close to me and I was close to her. I felt a need to protect her from anything that was in our way. She seemed to feel the same. "So what do you want to do, (Y/n)?" Peridot asked smiling. She looked so cute when she smiled. We walked through this place, that I soon found out was called, the Kindergarten. I thought for a minute, gazing at her beautiful eyes. "I don't know. What would you like to do?" I asked her, smiling warmly. Then she paused and thought for a moment. Suddenly a Quartz gem walked up and saw us together. "Look at that! What's this? Look everyone, we have a little runt. A defective little twerp!" She said laughing. There was a tall Jasper behind her along with two Rose Quartz's. Peridot looked at the gem with a quaking fear. A tear ran across her cheek as she looked away, covering her face. She was crying. My gut jumped and my heart pounded, and I started to shake in rage. I leapt forward to face the gems and put my right arm in front of her in a defensive motion. "Leave her alone!!" I shouted. The gem picked me up by my hair spat in my face. "How dare you stand up to a Quartz! You are just a little twerp that I can punch all I want!!" She yelled. "You know what, I can stand up to whoever I want, as long as I'm protecting my friend!!!" I scream in her face. Her gem was on the hand that gripped my hair. "Why you little..!" She said as she raised up her fist. "STOP!!!!" Peridot yelled, more tears streaming down her face. That made my face white hot with rage. I kicked the gem in the face and ripped away from her hold while she was distracted. It hurt, but I didn't feel it until later. To finish her off, i added a swift punch to the stomach. A large poof sounded as dust appeared around the place. After it cleared, a gem lay there on the ground. An Amethyst.The Rose Quartz's stood in awe as the Jasper looked at me in disbelief. "What kind of gem is she?" I heard one Rose Quartz's ask the other. The group that once stood behind the now 'poofed' Amethyst, retrieved her gem, and ran in the other direction.

All of a sudden, ships, the shape of touch stumps, started appearing in the sky and they landed shortly after their appearance. Everyone seemed afraid. Peridot clung to my gravity connector in absolute fear. "What are those, (Y/n)?!" Peridot says, tightening her grip on my gravity connector. "I'm not sure..." All I could think was Protect. Protect. Protect. Her... We stood, well, I stood, she held my gravity connector like it was supplying her life, and watched the ship's land in the Kindergarten. Everyone seemed interested, as was I. I looked down at my gravity connector to see Peridot nuzzling her face into it, eyes closed, in fear. "Hey.." I spoke softly towards her. She opened her right eye and looked up to me. She looked so helpless. I held out my touch stumps to her green ones, offering to hold it. She slowly took it and I helped her up. She seemed to like the touch stumps holding idea, because she seemed to cling onto my touch stumps quite tightly. We walked together as we heard a voice. "Please get in two lines. Defectives over on the left, Elites on the right. Jasper Facet-2H6F Cut-4EC out." She said, slightly aggressively. I thought for a moment. "I think I'm an elite.." I murmured. "What? What makes you think that?" She panicked, feeling offended. "Well, I don't see any more of me, do you?" I asked. She looked around, frantically searched for more of me, but sighed in defeat. "No." Peridot looked down sadly, hoping that I would stay with her.

(Peridot's P.O.V.)

She thinks she's an elite. If she goes over there, she won't be with me. I want her with me. I NEED her with me. Does she not like me? Am I too short?? I'm not good enough!!! "Maybe I should go check and make sure." (Y/n) snapped me out of my thoughts of self torment. "Yeah..." I sighed again and continued my thoughts of self-torture as she walked to the elite side. Why me?? I can't make friends! I can't keep friends! (Y/n) is trying to leave me!!! Why am I so weak?!?!?!
