1120 - Germany -Amelie
The torment of the thirst continued for years, and if this had been any normal situation, I'd probably be sitting on the porch with my grandchildren by now, but my father had made sure that my life would be a misery, all those years ago.
I hadn't seen my father since the fateful night of my turning from human to vampire, and I had no wish to see him, other than to kick his butt into oblivion, but that could wait for later. As I pondered on the those thoughts, and the many ways I could kill my father, I spotted a figure in the distance, a man, as pale as a sheet, he smiled, and beckoned me with a curl of his finger, as he turned and continued into the woods nearby.
Although my instincts told me to turn and walk away, I was intriuged, and if anything human had stayed with me, it would be my curiousity, so I followed the mysterious pale man through the woods. Suddenly, he came to a halt, scutinizing me.
I shifted uncomfortably, until I decided to speak. 'Bonjour' I said, but he just looked confused as he said something in what sounded German, so I tried again; 'Hello?' This seemed to get his attention as he replied 'People like you shouldn't be in the woods, young lady.' in a thick German accent. Before I could reply he jumped and attempted to land on me, but I pivoted and caught him by the throat, pinning him to the ground with force that would have crushed anything human.
I examined his pale face as he struggled with my grip, eyes like crimson drops of blood, and terrifying fangs that matched my own. He stopped struggling, and after a moments hesitation, I decided to let him go.
He looked puzzled at my inhuman strength and said 'I'm sorry, ma'am, I had no idea - Will you forgive me? I do not know what has happened to me.' My god his English was terrible, he had that horrible German slurr that made you spit all over people, but I forced myself to be polite, despite him trying to dig his fangs in my neck five seconds ago, I replied with 'Let's just pretend that never happened.' and let myself smile, which was returned willingly by the mysterious man.
He held his hand out, and I placed my own into his as he bent down on one knee and delicately kissed my hand, what a gentleman, I thought. When he rose, he didn't let go, instead, he lead me out of the woods and into his home, where we settled for the night.
'What's your name?' He asked, grinning, 'Amelie, and you?' 'Oliver, ma'am.' I smiled, thank God I found someone like me, someone who will understand my pain. 'I have to ask,' Oliver said, 'Do you know a man named Bishop?'
My insides went cold when he mentioned my father and my smile dropped into a scowl, Oliver must have noticed this because he said 'I'm sorry if I hurt you in any way, forget I ever mentioned it,' giving me a sad smile. I considered letting the question drop, but eventually, after a moments silence, I said; 'I knew him, well, know him.' Which caused Oliver's gaze to settle on the torment in my eyes as he replied, 'He turned you didn't he? I mean, into this thing, this monster.' I looked at him for a moment, comtemplating on how much I should tell, at the same time, correcting him, 'Were vampires Oliver, not things,' which earnt me a raised eyebrow which I ignored.
'You didn't answer my question though, did he turn you?' Oliver said, in which I replied 'Yes, but he's more than just my vampire father, that I'll tell you.' He looked at me in utter shock when I said that and I sighed, 'He was my real father too, which I'm deeply ashamed of, I had no idea what he was until he turned me.' Oliver looked at me and muttered 'I'm sorry.' I gave him a reassuring smile that definately wasn't from the inside. Everytime I thought of that fateful day it haunted me, I shivered.
'So, Oliver, you've heard my story, how did you turn?' he glanced at me and clenched his jaw, his experience must have been traumatic too, but I knew, I knew there was nothing that could beat your own father killing you, that was just horrible.
