Chapter Eight

The phone started ringing and I could feel the scared feeling I had earlier when I called him the first time. After a few rings he answered.

"Hello," a voice said. I assumed the voice was his moms.

"Um is Drew there?" I asked.

"Yes he left his phone down here an I didn't think he would want to miss a call from you so I answered it for him. I will go get him," she said.

"Thank you," I said back trying to sound as happy as I could. I don't think he would mind if he did miss a call from me. I could hear is mom knock on a door. The door opened and I could hear some talking but I couldn't quite understand what they were saying.

"Um hey," Drew said.

"Hey. I know you probably don't want to talk to me right now but we need to," I said.

"Why don't you just come over so we can talk about it in person," he said.

"Okay fine I will be over soon. If I'm even aloud to leave the house. You did tell your mom about this, right?" I asked.

"We I was going to but then I decided not to. I figured you could tell her since you're the one that's pregnant," he said.

"It's your baby to. I can't get pregnant alone. I already told my mom and dad about this, and that's been a pain for me. I am not going to tell your mom also you can do that," I yelled into the phone.

"Ok just calm down. Just come over I will tell my mom when you are here," he said.

"Fine, but I'm not going to be in the same room," I said back to him.

"Ok whatever just come over soon so I can get it over with,"he said.

"I'll be over when I can," I said then hung up the phone.

"I was starting to get more nervous about going over to his house. His mom had always thought I was sweet and harmless and now I'm pregnant because I was drunk that night and she was so wrong about me being sweet.

"Umm, mom, I really need to go over to Drew's house. We need to talk," I said with a pleasing tone. I didn't really want to go over to Drew's but we needed to talk about everything and he was the one that told me to do it in person.

"Ok sweetie you can go but don't be there very long, and don't make another bad decision," she said.

Don't do anything bad. I'm assuming she was talking about sex considering the way she looked at me and how she said it. "Mom I know what you meant by that and I'm not going to do it but I'm already pregnant so there is nothing else that can happen."

"Yes honey I know but you're 17 and just because you're pregnant doesn't give you permission to keep having sex with him," she yelled. I could tell that she was getting really stressed and I could see a scared look on her face.

"Whatever I'm going to Drew's," I said. I quickly put my shoes on, grabbed my keys, and left. The whole drive there I was really nervous. I didn't really want to be there when he told his mom about me being pregnant, but he would only agree to do it if I was there.

I got to Drew's house and slowly made my way up the sidewalk. I knocked on the door and waited.

"Hello sweetie. Come on in!" His mom said when she answered the door.

"Hello Norah," I said to her as I walked through the door.

"Good you remembered to call me by my name this time. I think Drew is upstairs in his room. He's been in there for a long time like something's bothering him, I don't know he never want to talk to me about stuff so good luck sweetie," she said.
