Fading Fast

Bright lights

Hushed voices

Hearing them speak

Of my limited choices.

Surrounded with white walls

blocking me from the world

Covered in light

But in my heart,

darkness is unfurled.

All hope is gone.

When you hear those words.

Laying on the bed

Begging to know what you did wrong

"It could be cancer, we don't know.

We've never had this

in the past.

But its your daughter,

She's Fading fast."

Your mother bursts into tears.

Your Father gone to war

Feeling the life seep out of you

As you walk.

To heavens door.
