Chapter 4

Nico soon returned with Percy by his side.

Percy smiled at me and Nico just stood there. "So...ready to talk?" I nodded. I had already accepted that there was no way out of this. Id have to answer his questions sometime.

Percy smiled again and sat on the bunk next to the one I was in, followed by Nico.

"Right then...could I start by knowing your name?"

"Luna Chelyabinsk."

"Good, good. So, Luna, could you tell us how all of this started?"

I eyed him suspiciously. "How what started?"

He looked at me in the eyes. "I think you know."

I sighed. He was right. I should just start from the beginning.

I took a deep breath.

"Ok...well...about a year ago, my mum was killed in some freak accident. It was never really explained, but I know it was something paranormal. I know this because ever since her death, I've been having these dreams about creatures that shouldn't exist and-"

Percy interrupted me.

"Who do you live with, Luna?"

I looked down. "I live on my own....i sort of run from place to place."

Then I looked at him in the eye. I wasnt going to let him see any emotion from me. I was not going to cry in front of a stranger.

"Ok...and can you explain what happened in the ice cream parlor?"

He asked.

I took a deep breath. "Well...yesterday was my 14th birthday...and I wanted to get some Ice cream with what little money I had left. But then..." my voice faltered a bit and I cleared my throat. "And then the ice cream lady...she changed. She turned into this demonic thing that I can't even describe. She was-" I sniffed. "She was trying to k-kill m-me." I had to bite my lip to stop from crying. "Please don't send me to a mental hospital."

Nico chuckled and Percy elbowed him. "It's ok, Luna. We understand. Do You know what happened to the demon?"

"I killed it...i think." I said.

Both Percy and Nico were laughing now.

Nico spoke for the first time. "It's what id expect, it's in her blood."

"What's in my blood?" I asked.

This time Percy spoke, "Luna, you're a demigod."

I froze.

"What?"

•I hope you liked it!

I think I cleared up a few things in this chapter so hopefully the story's starting to make sense!
