Chapter 16

Liz's P.O.V

I was just there sitting in a corner with a Cosmo in my hand.

The introductions barely lasted three seconds.As soon as we entered ,Sebastian announced that I was Elizabeth Steele and I am supposed to join this gang.Everybody cheered but they were so drunk that they went back to making out and getting more drunk.

So I just sat down with a drink in the corner.I could not go downstairs,Sebastian does not want me to 'be social'.

I think I was staring at Sebastian with such a furious glare that he had to excuse himself from his lady friend.

"Jealous?"He smirked.Clearly,he had had some drinks.He seemed more relaxed now.

"More like bored."I said gulping my drink.

"I have a job for you."He said offering me his hand.

I was confused.I wasn't sure what he was asking of me.But if he was asking for that...

He led me to the balcony that looked down on the crowd.People were rubbing against each other like there is no tomorrow.

He closed the space between us to whisper in my ear,"See that guy by the bar checking out the girls next to him."

"Blue jacket?"I asked confirming.

"Yep."He said sipping his drink.

"Get him to the bathroom and we will take it from there."He said smirking.

"I don't know anything about him.You said no jobs tonight."I said almost shouting.

"I changed my mind,sweetheart.Don't worry,you're the Ghost.This is right up your alley."He said as if he was mocking me.

As I was moving toward the stairs,he stopped me.

"Consider this a test.15 minutes.I'll be waiting on the other side."

"Whatever did he do to you?He looks young."I asked.

"All in good time."He said as he descended the stairs and probably went to the washroom.

I had done impromptu baiting before but still it was not always by choice.It can escalate to anything.

I went down to the dance floor and pushed people till I could see the guy and he could clearly see me.I danced seductively to the song,rubbing against strangers.Soon I knew I had his attention.

I decided to take a break.I occupied the seat next to him and ordered a Cosmo.

And it begins...

"Oh,I'm so sorry.I didn't even realize you might be saving this seat."I said almost getting up.

"It's empty."He said and turned back to his drink.

Playing hard to get...

"Right.Clearly you are not interested."I said as I began to get up.
That seemed to get his attention.

"What do you mean?"He said turning towards me.

"Well to be honest,I kind of wanted to impress you so I..anyway does not matter."I said as I gulped down my drink.

"I did not mean it like that.It's just I did not think you would be interested in me at all."He said as a matter of factly.

"So you did notice me?"I said winking at me.

"A Cosmo for the lady and bourbon on the rocks,please.Top shelf."He said to the bartender,smirking at me.

After a few sips,he said"I'm Nick."

"Brenda."I said shaking his hands.

"So are you from around here?"I asked him sipping my drink.

"Yes,I am.Brooklyn.But you certainly are not from here.I would have seen you before."He said smiling as his hand made it's way to my thigh.

I kept mine over his and looked him in the eyes.I blushed to make him feel like he got me tagged.

Poor boy..it's the other way around.
I gulped down my drink and held his hand and dragged him to the washroom for men.

"You are one of a kind,Brenda"He said as I led him through the washroom unaffected by the stranger that was judging us as he exited the bathroom.

"I am.In more than one way."I whispered in his ears.

I dragged him to a stall.He locked it and pinned me to the door.He began trailing kisses down my neck.

"You smell good."He said burying his head in my hair.

I spun us around and pinned him down.I distracted him by kissing him hard and trailed my hand down to his stomach.He took off his shirt.

As he was taking off my dress,I slowly slipped out the knife from my thigh holster upto his neck.

"Stop."A voice echoed in the toilet.

"Let him go,Elizabeth."The voice said again.It was Sebastian.

Nick had stopped by now and he moved to see the knife in my hand.

He looked at me carefully and immediately tried to snatch the knife from me.

"You bitch!"He yelled.

I spun around and took him in a headlock with the knife at his throat.

"Unlock the door,Nick."I said hissing.

He unlocked the door.
Sebastian,Marco and Chase were standing outside.

"Sebastian!What are you doing here?You know the bitch?"He said gritting his teeth.

"What is going on?"I said tightening my hold on him.

"Let him go."Marco said as Nick freed out of the hold  and pinned me to the tile floor.

It was with so much force that my vision got blurry.He was on top of me but he was ripped off of me.

"Get off her,Nick."Sebastian yelled.

Marco helped me up.
"Are you okay?"He said inspecting my head.

"I'm fine."I said regaining my composure.

"Nick is a member of the gang.And now so are you.Welcome to the Grey's,Elizabeth.The people on the balcony were nobodies.They were random drunk people.This was a test.Nick is not an enemy,he is a friend.He was the test.The test that you passed with honours."Sebastian explained glaring at Nick.

Nick looked down ashamed.

"I'm sorry.I did not know."I said apologetically.

"Me too."He said scratching his neck.

He extended his hand and I shook it.

"Let's introduce you to the gang."Marco said as he led me outside the toilet.
