CHAPTER 4: GROOVY POTENTIAL

'Wynter, it doesn't matter what she says or does. I will always love you and I know she loves you too. She just has a special way of showing it.' Prince reassured.

Wynter kept her face buried in Prince's chest. Prince rocked her until she was calm enough to talk to. 'Hey, Winnie the Pooh. Please don't be blue.'

Wynter rose her face up to his and blinked her reddened sapphire eyes. They were still as blue as ever. Prince pecked Wynter's nose and placed her upon his back. 'I want to play batman!' Wynter exclaimed. Prince flew her all around his Paisley Park on his 'bat cape'. Unlike, Lana Marie, Prince didn't care about the spotlight. He hadn't even recorded an album in a while. All he wanted to do was be the best father to his little girl. He can still remember the happiness that illuminated him when he first laid his eyes on his gorgeous baby. The way her sapphire eyes looked when they stared back at him for the first time. Ever since then, they have been inseparable. Sometimes Prince wished he and Marie could be together again and raise their child; however, that didn't seem to be in the cards right now.

'Oh Wynter, if only you knew how much I loved you.' Prince whispered.

'I do, daddy.' Wynter replied.

Prince giggled as he placed her upon the ground. Wynter was so full of energy, he could barely keep up. 'Why don't we go to the park today?' Prince inquired. Wynter apparently loved the sound of that because she bolted in her room to lace her sneakers. Wynter and Prince went out on the town during the windy day in Minnesota.

As Prince and Wynter hiked to the park that was a few blocks from his Paisley Park, he couldn't help but gaze at the most wonderous thing he had laid eyes on in a while. There she was, there she walked. It was probably the woman of Prince's dreams. At least, he thought. She had sky blue eyes and light brunette hair that was long and voluminous. Prince was taken until the woman caught him staring. 'Didn't your mother ever tell you not to stare?' She questioned. The vibe she gave off reminded him of someone. She reminded him of Marie in her younger state. Prince stood in front of her. He was captured by her alluring physique. 'I think it is best that you close your mouth. You don't want to catch flies.'  The woman stated. She flipped her flowing hair and strutted to Prince. The very thing she laid eyes on was his daughter, Wynter. 'She's beautiful.' She stated as she kneeled to her level. Wynter hid behind Prince's leg and began to shake. Prince always forgot how introverted she could be. Especially when she was around another woman beside her mother. 'I understand, I am rather quiet myself.' She confessed. Prince gulped as he apologized for his silence. He extended his hand to greet the woman and the woman greeted him with a hug. 'I could tell you needed that.' She said. By this time, Wynter had already plopped on the swing set. Wynter wasn't a fan of affection. It was a good thing she hadn't seen or else she would become extremely defensive over her father. 'Thank you' The woman welcomed him. The awkwardness of the silence was starting to peek Prince's anxiety. He beefed up the conversation with a proper greeting. 'I am sorry that I didn't greet you properly, I am Prince.' The woman smiled warmly whilst she accepted his apology. She shifted her attention from the skyline to Prince. 'Sheena is the name.' She stated.
