CHAPTER 1: GENESIS

It all began with a single glance in the Paisley Park residence. There it was Lana Marie Carson and Prince Rogers Nelson exchanging gazes absolutely in awe of each other's saccharine nature. It was the fiery relationship that most would die to have and that individual was Vanity. It was merely a few years prior from their previous interchange. She did what any immature person would do and abandoned their child. She abandoned the child only to be reared by her secondary parent. Wynter had grown much since Marie had last seen her. The solitary confinement in the Minnesota State Penitentiary gave her much needed time to figure out what she was after. The goal was after fortune and notability and there was nothing that would get in the way of that. Since then she legally converted her name into 'Lana Del Rey' and lived the lifestyle that was essential for her. Elizabeth had deceased in a untimely manner. Marie didn't seem to be despondent about this. After all, she had a deep threaded hatred for her mother. It was a swell thing that Elizabeth passed upon her own time. Marie would have likely had her murdered. She wasn't the kindest of souls.

Vanity and Prince eventually departed from each other's side. Vanity decided to build a career for herself after her pregnancy with Prince's second child, Victor. Prince hardly saw him because he resided with his mother most of the time. Prince hardly kept up with Marie either. He would try to arrange encounters for them to visit, however Marie seemed typically uninterested. She was a narcissist to her name and that was all there was to it. Vanity often wondered what it would be like to find the woman of his fantasy. He imagined her to be a beauteous young woman with flowing brunette hair. He wished he would have some sort of time alone to reflect and exhale, however Wynter was a quite tiresome child. She was rather exuberant. She consistently needed to be busy doing some sort of activity.  Everything Wynter did reminded him of himself. She seemed to be nothing like her mother, personality wise and he was okay with this. Vanity and Marie hashed their differences after they wrestled to the death. Marie won that fight fair and square. She could talk the talk and walk the walk, indeed. Vanity didn't have the sort of power Marie had. She was a charmer to her name. She would consistently cast her magic upon men and use them for greed.
