Chapter 12 - Chaos

Maddie's POV

Chaos. That is the only word I can think of to describe the girls trying to get me ready.

We got home at 4 and they ordered me into the shower whilst they caught up Billy and Dave on what was happening and laid out some options for my outfit.

Half way through my shower, Dave banged on the door, which scared the ever living out of me, and screamed that I had 2 and a half hours. I was finished in the shower like 15 minutes later and dried myself, putting on underwear and my dressing gown whilst I got ready. I came into the living room and there was makeup layed out on the table, along with a pretty big mirror they pulled out of my room, Dave sat beside it looking eager, and 4 outfits draped over the couch. They pulled me over and sat me down, Grace started drying my hair whilst Dave started doing my makeup, Bill and Ella still arguing over which outfit they thought I should wear.

By this time, Dave is doing my eye shadow, Billy and El curling my hair at the same time, and Grace doing my nails, I've never been so nervous in my life. You know how I said when I get really nervous I get queasy? Well right now I think I might actually spew, a mixture of nerves and butterflies causing havoc in my stomach.

"Done!" Dave squealed, finally. I haven't been able to open my eyes for like ten minutes.

"Wait i'm almost finished! Last bit!" I felt El let my last bit of hair go from the curlers.

"Okay I'm done too, now do not. Touch. Anything." Grace stood and emphasized each word, I looked down and my nails were done with perfect French tips. Billy ran across and held the mirror up for me, my hair in loose, effortless curls, my makeup done to absolute perfection, it was amazing, I looked airbrushed.

"Dave! It looks amazing! Oh my god thank you! I love it!" I squealed and examined the perfect gentle makeup. A little gold shimmering on my eyelids.

"I didn't do you're lip stick cause you'll still have to brush your teeth"

"Yeah of course"

"Now come pick what your gonna wear!" Billy ran over to where the clothes were and looked down at them, one immediately caught my eye. A dress with a small white strapless bodice with white lace detail over the top, going down into a flowing light blue skirt, short at the front and long at the back, with a thin white belt just below where the skirt starts. It was gorgeous.

"This one, definitely." I pointed and Billy cheered,

"It knew it, I told ya El!" Ella flipped her off and Grace same to came to check my nails,

"Okay, you're good now we have...Oh my god! We only have half an hour!" Time had flown by and it was half 6.

"Shit shit shit!" I ran to the bathroom and brushed my teeth, taking care not to smudge my makeup, before running back into the room to grab the dress and going into my room to slip it on. I went back into the living room and Ella came behind me to zip up the back and fix the belt. Grace had got me a pair of her nude coloured heels and I slipped them on before applying some clear lip gloss. Dave tossed me a black clutch and I stuffed in my lip gloss, phone and a few £10 notes just in case.

"Dude seriously if he makes you pay I will kill him" Ella shook her head as she sat down with a cup of tea,

"I'm sure he wont, just in case" I shrugged and we heard a knock at the door. We all gasped and smiled wide, me especially as I ran over to the door.

"He is bang on 7" Dave looked at her phone and approved.

I just giggled like a school girl as I reached for the door and took a deep breath.

This is it.

Harry's POV

I have everything prepared and planned to a T. But my nerves were getting the better of me as I stood at her apartment door, waiting for the time to hit 7 o'clock exactly. My hands were starting to get clammy and I took a deep breath and checked my phone, 7 o'clock. My shaky hands reached up to knock on the door, I've never been so nervous, and it was all because of her.

I laughed quietly as I heard hushed giggles and squeals from the other side of the door, when it swung open. My jaw dropped to the floor as Maddie stood in front of me, blue and white strapless dress, nude heels, loose dark brown curls, perfect make up. I heard the jangle of her charm bracelet as she reached her hand up and flicked her fingers in front of my face, catching my attention.

"S-sorry , these are for you" I pulled my arm out from behind my back and presented few pink spotted lilies to her,

"Aww thank you" She giggled and reached back to give it to one of the girls, I peered round and saw them all huddled beside the door.

"Ready to go?" I bent my arm signalling her to link hers, which she did.

"Yeah sure, where are we going?" She beamed a smile up at me,

"Aah, its a secret!" She pouted her bottom lip and I had to hold back an overwhelming urge to suck it in between my own and kiss her there and then. She tugged on my arm but I just shook me head,

"Fine" she huffed, "But I better like it" She looked up at me once we were in the elevator,

"Trust me you will" I winked at her and she did a little school girl giggle as the elevator doors opened,

"Don't say anything but I'm really glad its just me and you tonight" She said as we walked side by side to the back entrance of her apartment building, I couldn't hold back my wide smile.

"Me too, no interruptions, we can finally get to know each other a bit better"

"I agree, aww shit! I didn't bring my jacket" She hissed as we reached the door, I pulled my arm out of the link and whipped my black coat off,

"No no no you'll freeze!" She shook her head and refused to take it.

"Don't worry about me, just take it" She finally sighed and swung it over her shoulders, pulling it round her front, I wrapped my arm around her shoulders and lead her to my car, helping her climb in and running round to the drivers side. I jumped in and struck up the engine, she reached forward and whacked the heaters on before I could even blink.

"What music have you got?" She looked across to me and I pointed to the cubby hole,

"All the CD's are in there" She reached forward and pulled it open, flicking through a few before pulling out the Teenage Dirtbags compilation and sticking it into the radio.

"Didn't know you were into that kind of music?" I was definitely surprised by her choice.

"Oh yeah got this at home, love it!" She pointed to the CD player, turned it up, and skipped straight to Bowling For Soup, she is my kind of girl.

We were both singing along obnoxiously loud and fist pumping along with the music that was now blasting through my car. I could do this all night with her, but we were close to the little Italian restaurant I had picked for us, I pulled into the car park and she turned the music off, looking out the window.

"Is this where we're going?"

"Yup!"

"Oh my god Harry! Its so cute!"

So far so good! All I had to do was just keep her impressed.
