Grieving

Yesterday was Halloween and that meant I had to stay inside all day in dark silence. I have done it every Halloween so I am used to it. My family does not celebrate that holiday.
I was expecting to listen to Christmas music on the way to school today but the radio station switched it up this year and is having us wait until Thursday.
Today, I found out that a close friend of mine passed away to a rare form of cancer. I met her in the seventh grade and led her to Christ. Her walk with God was rough. She cut and smoked and claimed to have sold her soul to Lucifer multiple times. She never kept a lasting relationship and even dated Nathan for a while. I disliked her but loved and card for her at the same time. She was one of the outcasts and no one really wanted to talk to her but I was the exception. People asked me why I spent time with her and I told them it was because she was my best friend. She was diagnosed around the end of last school year and died just this week. I am talking with others who were really close with her and we are all grieving and praying together. I can only hope I was a good enough influence to lead her to a better place.

In remembrance of my friend, I will dedicate the songs of the day to her. She loved the song Rude by Magic! It drove me crazy but it always reminded me of her. I am also putting in We are Ninjas by Pentatonix because we went to see TMNT 2 the very last time I saw her. The videos do not belong to me. If you would like, you may suggest a song for a future update.

There is no Bible verse or celebrity birthday today but there are two prayer requests. The first one is for those of us grieving for my friend. The other is for the upcoming election. If you have any prayer requests please share. I would love to pray for you. Soar on, Eagle Army!
