Today for Spirit Week was wild west day. I put on a flannel shirt and was good to go.
At lunch, my friends started talking about video games like they normally do. Then, for some strange reason, they switched the conversation to doctoral checkups, specifically for the male body system. They were talking about how embarrassing it would be if they had a really "hot" female doctor. I put up a hand to hopefully hide how red my face was. They were talking about this for almost the entire hour. It took a while, but one of them eventually noticed me in my embarrassment. They all told me that they completely forgot I was there. Then, they continued talking about it.
Civics got really heated today as we had a debate. We were discussing the Patriot Act. It specified how police could search you and your property with a reason. If they suspect you of terrorism, they will hack your social medias, your texts, your phone calls, and they will follow wherever you go and see what you do. I was completely fine with thus and actually supported it. I believe that if you are suspected for doing something wrong, anything and everything possible should be done to make sure you are doing the right thing. Better safe than sorry. I was the only student in my class that felt this way. Others actually got really defensive. They said it was an attack on personal space. I can understand where this is coming from. At the end of the class, I was told that I did a great job for standing up for what I believe.

Today is Rhett McLaughlin's 39th birthday. He runs Good Mythical Morning and Rhett and Link with his best friend from elementary school. I first saw their videos on father's day a few years ago when my eldest brother showed it to me. I have watched it every morning before school since then. I actually started watching them before I knew them. They are the Bentley Brothers of JellyBelly's kids show What's in the Bible with Buck Denver.

He waited seven days, the time set by Samuel; but Samuel did not come to Gilgal, and Saul’s men began to scatter. So he said, “Bring me the burnt offering and the fellowship offerings.” And Saul offered up the burnt offering.
– 1 Samuel 13:8-9 (NIV)
"One of the recurring faults of Saul’s leadership was his fear of what others thought of him. Saul was threatened by David, he was anxious about the Philistines, and he was governed by the crowds. This caused Saul to prematurely offer a sacrifice, which only the priest could do. The fear of man is a snare and will cause leaders at any level to cross boundaries and do things that they should never do. Every leader faces this challenge. Are we tossed back and forth by the whimsy of popularity, or are we rooted in who God has made us to be?" - Dave Whitehead

The song of the day is Spectre by Alan Walker. This is the No Copyright Sounds version. If you ever need music for anything, you can use this without getting a copyright strike. I guess that means that I do not have to tell you that the video does not belong to me, but better safe than sorry. The video does not belong to me. (Who would have guessed?) If you would like to suggest a song for the future, do it.

I have no prayer requests for today but if you have any, feel free to share. I would love to pray for you. Soar on, Eagle Army!
