In an unknown land far far away timeless centuries ago tucked away in a tiny kingdom. There lived a kind but naïve king with his closely knit family, unfortunately for them they were not seen as normal. An old haggard but powerful witch was hired by the townspeople to kill the king and his family when they found out the truth about them. Though this wicked witch was notorious for her work, she took a small mercy on the family for she knew that that there was very few of them left. She did not kill them but she did put a deadly curse upon the family, for she still wanted her money...

For centuries the family and its descendants died out one by one, but one merely survived still whole and pure. Unlike his parents who were the king and queen, the curse did not affect him the reasons still unknown though one theory states that he was just simply too young.

The day of his sixteenth (more like sixteen hundredth) was quite wild and fortunately yesterday. He was sitting upon his large, golden, jewel decorated throne, trying desperately to banish the violent headache that was brought upon from yesterday's antics. He was fiddling with a small piece of his golden blonde hair, wondering why his hair was blonde while his fathers was... Stop dreaming he told himself They are long gone his father was the last to go.

A servant came in and told him some urgent news and needed his presence for something, with that he got up and followed the servant. He entered a smallish room that is towards the front of the castle. They met a young beautiful maiden with black waist length hair. The young man asked her to come with him for he rarely has visitors. He shows her the bottom floor of the crumbling gray castle. Then he takes her to the garden to the front of the castle, the girl in awe looked about the garden. The prince smiles to himself, if there was one thing that he cared about was life. The garden was abundant with all kinds of beautiful flowers, trees, and plants but also of the wide variety of the countless herbs that reside here. He care for all of the servants and workers that still lived in the castle with him for without them he would go crazy with loneliness.

The girl lifts her head up to look over the entrance towards the small village. She asked about the tiny town. He said it was abandoned long ago. He asked for her to stay for dinner. She said yes for she did not have anywhere to go. She was lost.

The prince, the girl, and a couple of others, also known as the prince's council, were seated around a fairly large dining table. The boy and girl were speaking amongst each other when one of the others spoke up.

"Do you wish to live here?" he asked towards the female. She did not want to intrude so she asked

"If it is not too much of a bother for me to" the boy said no he wished for her to stay. Then the council asked of something unfair.

"If you wish to stay, then you must merry the prince" completely shocked by the question the maiden only managed a small

"What?" She looked over to the prince. He had a look as if to apologize to her. She can tell that he wanted to speak but he could not through the shock.

"Well" the council pressed all in unison.

"Yes" she said in that soft spoken voice. They all looked relieved, but the prince looked quite angry. The girl tried to look at him but he was staring right at the council members. How dare them!? Making this beautiful maiden marry me! That is utterly low for them.
