*Dylin's POV*
A few hours after I got home, when night was falling, I wanted to get away. I walked downstairs, and walked to downtown, where I got to the planetarium. I walked to the back, making sure no one saw, and climbed up a ladder that went to the roof. I do this often, as it's the place I come to unwind. I go to the middle of the roof, stepping quietly, and I sit down.
As I watch the sunset, I slowly start to see the stars come out. Then, as if out of nowhere, a brilliant sea of stars paints the sky. They blanket it, not being able to be unseen from the city's bright lights, because of the Planetarium's height.
I sit there for a long while, and then venture home. But, I soon find I am not alone. I quicken my pace, and pay close attention to the soft footsteps I hear. I'm not alone on the streets, as I live, and am in, a busy part of the city. But, this just feels strange for some reason, and I can't explain it. But, soon, they break into a sprint. My heart and body jump, but all they do is run by, earplugs in, and turn the corner to jog away. My heartbeat slows, and I take a breath, and finally get home, to an empty house. The usual.
After I eat the leftovers in the fridge from last night's dinner, I walk upstairs to my room, and read for a while. As I get ready to go to bed, I look out at the sky one last time, unable to see many stars, but knowing they're there.
-The Next Day-
I put my bag down in my last class of the day, which is human biology, and get a pencil out for our semester test. I see Jay walk into class, and sit down at his table. My teacher hands out the test after the bell, and I start.

Do your powers always come?
No, your powers do not always come. Sometimes you never get your powers. But, sometimes, for some reason, your powers are delayed. She hands her test in after she's done, and sits, waiting for class to be over, when, all of a sudden, the teacher calls out. "Ms. Roland, take your test back immediately, and redo the last question! I will have none of that in my classroom. I should write you up for that!" The teacher states, before walking over to Ash's desk, and placing the test down. Ash and all of her friends around her try to hold back laughter as she erases the last questions' answer, and looks back at me with a wink, then bursts out in laughter as she writes the correct 'wording'.
Of course, I knew when I read the last question that she would pull something stupid. How low of her. Everyone clears out of the class as the bell rings, but as I'm about to leave, the teacher calls me to her desk. I walk over, and she says, "I'm sorry about earlier. I am sure you can guess the things she wrote." She has a sympathetic voice as she speaks.
I've heard enough, and I leave class, and go to my locker to get my bag, and head to the front of school. Ash tries to start something, but I ignore her, and storm pass her. I start walking out of the school zone, when I hear my name. I don't bother to turn around, but then a hand taps my shoulder, and them softly grasps my arm. I turn around, and see its Jay.
"Oh.. hi Jay." I say, embarrassed that I was about to scream at him.
"Hey, Dylin. What's up with you?" He asks, then it clicks in his head that its about what happened in class. "Oh. Right. Sorry about that." He says apologetically.
"It's fine. You shouldn't be the one apologizing. It was Ash. It's always Ash." I say, my voice trailing off in anger. It clearly shows on my face, and with that, he changes the subject.
"Hey, why don't we get out of here." I nod in agreement, and we both start walking down the street, away from school. I sneak a glance at him, and sees he's smiling, his dark hair moving to reveal his bright blue eyes from the calm breeze. He seems so calm and collected, far from what I am right now. I better calm down, so I don't seem too upset about what happened.
*Jay's POV*
I was about to fly, when I saw her walking to the sidewalk. She wore a white button down shirt under a yellow sweater, and black pants, and had her long brown hair down. "She is beautiful." I whisper to myself. I walk over to her, and call her name, but she doesn't respond, and so I catch up to her. We chat for a bit about what happened in class.
That was so dumb of Ash. I really hate her sometimes, with all of the little things she does to Dylin in class.
We decide to walk out of school together, and when we get to Clementine St., we part ways. I fly home from their on, and do some homework.
-Later On-
After I did my homework, I went out with a couple of my friends to the park, and we jogged and threw a ball around for a while. For some reason, something compelled my to walk home instead, when I usually don't after I go to the park. When I pass by the theatre where dance recitals and plays are usually held with kids from the school, I look into the lobby, and see that the lights are on inside the theatre. I decide to peak inside, curious because there aren't any indications that a recital was being held tonight, and see a girl dancing on stage along to a beautiful piano track. I watch closely, and see all of her graceful movements, her face full of concentration and determination. I stay until the end, then I notice it. It's Dylin who's dancing. I pause, stunned. I never imagined she could have that much talent inside of her. I didn't even want to blink. I wanted to burn every movement into my mind, so I would never forget.
In the end, my body seems to take over and I couldn't control it. I clap as the music stops. She stands, and covers the lights with her hands, trying to see who it is.
"Wait.. Jay? What are you doing here?" Dylin says, clearly confused."That was wonderful." I say, walking up to the stage. "I didn't know you danced."
"Yea. I've actually done it for a long time. This year I think it's nine years." She replied, putting her sweatpants on, and walking over to me. "What are you doing here?" She wondered. I walked up the steps and onto the stage, and said,
"Oh, I was just going home and I saw the lights on in here. I was just curious."
"I see," she said. "Well, that wasn't much. I only just made that routine, so it's far from perfect." She added bashfully, her cheeks turning red.
"Oh I don't think so! I thought it was great." I said.
"Thanks." She timidly said.
After that, we ended up talking for a while, sitting at the edge of the stage. Soon, I started to think that once she got talking, she started showing me the real her. Not just a cover so she could put a wall between people. It was very nice. I liked it a lot. She's actually very bright and intuitive. Not that I didn't think that she would be. I just think she could use more of that everyday.
After a while, I suggested something. "Hey, um, do you want to go to the beach? It's right around the corner from here." She seemed to be reluctant, but agreed. We headed to the beach, side by side.
