Chapter 1

Naruto's POV

"Sir your meeting starts in 5 minutes." Sai, my assistant said.

"Yeah. I'll be there."

I fixed my tie before going out. Another meeting, huh? Well, nothing's new.

I was inside of the meeting room and read the report first. "Let's begin." The employee in charge in discussing about their report, started.

In the end, I didn't accept their suggestion for my hospital. I was waiting for the elevator when Sai caught up. "Sir, you can't leave yet. You still need to finish the documents that is needed for the expansion of our business." I looked at him. "I'm tired, Sai. I'm going to do it later." The elevator opened then I went inside.

I can still remember what happened 3 years ago. And I'm still hurting.

I went out of the building and I close my eyes then I inhaled then exhaled. I open my eyes then I saw a familiar eyes looking at me, in front of me. "What are you doing?" She asked. Is it her? I touched her face and then she backed off.

She raised her left eyebrow. "Again, what are you doing?" I hugged her tightly. "Babe." She's resisting my hug. "Huh? I'm not 'your babe'. Let go of me!" She distanced herself from me.

I hold her arms. "You're the one I love. I'm sure. You're the only one who has eyes like that." She laughed. I frowned. "As you can see, I have the same eyes with 'Your babe' but I'm not her." She smiled at me.

I blinked twice. I'm still looking at her. She rolled her eyes. "Gosh. You're so weird." She said and then she walked away. I let my eyes follow her. No, Naruto. She's not Shion. They have a different color of hair.. I shaked my head, snapping myself out.

I'm here at the bar near from my office. I always drink here because I want to forget everything that happened 3 years ago.

~Flashback~

"Hey, Shion." I kissed her cheeks when I sat beside her. Shion is my childhood friend. We've known each other since we were kids. And also, she became my girlfriend when we were 17 years old.

She slapped my shoulder. "You're late." She pouted. I laughed at her. "Well, I'm so busy because my father keeps on training me on how to handle our business. He said that I'm already 21 and–" she placed her index finger to my lips. "I understand." I hugged her and I kissed her head. "Thank you for understanding. I'm so lucky that I have you. I love you." She giggled. "I love you too, Naruto."

I broke our hug. "Alright! Let's celebrate our 6th anniversary." I shouted. She laughed.

After our dinner, We went to her favorite place. The highest peak here in Konoha. We're watching the busy city of Konoha. This is where I'm going to do it.

I kneeled in front of her. "Shion. Marry me." She looked at me with a wide eyes. "Huh?" I smiled at her. "Marry me. I want to have a family with you. I want to be the one who wakes up in the morning beside you. I want to be the one who's eating all your cooked foods." She laughed but with tears in her eyes. "I want you to be the mother of our children. I want you to be my wife." I opened the box that I've been keeping  in my pocket. "Please, Shion. Marry me."

She's crying. I don't know if it's because she's happy or not. She wiped her tears first. "Naruto. Yes. I'm marrying you." I stood up. "Really?! You're marrying me?!" "Yes." She smiled widely. Showing me that she's really happy. "YES! You're marrying me. I can't believe it. I love you." I kissed her. "I love you too."

I took her home after my proposal to her. It's obvious that she's excited to share it to her Dad. I got out of my car and then I opened the car's door for her. She kissed me and said goodbye. Before she go inside. She hugged me tightly. "I love you so much" she said. I hugged her too. "Go inside now." "Okay. Goodbye, my love. Drive safely." I waved my hands at her. She went inside and I stayed there for a few seconds. I was about go to my car when I heard a gunfire sound.

I immediately run inside of their house. I saw her at the kitchen with a masked man, pointing his gun to her. She looked at me. Her nervousness is visible in her face. She's shaking. I immediately run to her. And then the gunfire echoed in their house. I saw her face. Shocked. She's looking at my shoulder and that when I realize I was shot on my shoulder.

But that didn't stop me. I immediately grabbed the gun from his hands. When he punched me and then the handle of the gun hit me. I fell down. Before I fell unconscious, I heard another gunfire. Two gunfires to be exact

I'm sorry for not protecting you, Shion.

Why did this happen?

I woke up and then I realized that I am here at the hospital. My mom went to my side immediately when she saw awake.

"Naruto, how are you feeling? Are you hurt?" I held her hands. "I'm fine, mom." I told her.

"Mom, where's Shion? Is she fine? Tell me mom." She cupped my face. "Naruto. Shion is not there when your father and I went to their mansion."

I felt tears run down from my face. "Shh. Naruto, probably her parents brought her somewhere." I started to bawl. "NO! Mom! Please, bring me to her please. Mom, she said yes to me. She's going to marry me. Mom, please! Bring me to her!"

My mom hugged me until I stopped crying and I fell asleep.

~End of Flashback~

"Hey! You need to get up. There's a lot of customer and we want you to go if you're not going to order for another drink." I stood up and then I paid my drinks. I went out to find my car, when I saw three guys harassing a lady. "HEY! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" I yelled at them.

The three of them looked at me, but the lady didn't even look. "Who are you?!" The man with a cigarette stick in between his finger, walked close to me. "I SAID WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO HER?!" I punched the him. "YOU BASTARD! YOU PUNCHED OUR BOSS!" The guy with a baseball bat said and tries to hit me. "YOU CALLING ME BASTARD?! HUH? I SHOULD BE THE ONE SAYING THAT TO THE THREE OF YOU!"I kicked his knee. The third guy ran away scared of being hit.

"YOU IDIOT! WHY DID YOU RAN AWAY?!"The boss shouted. I grabbed his polo. "Shut up, old man!" I punched him again and then I kicked the other guy to his stomach.

I looked at the lady who's still in shock. She's hugging herself tightly. "Hey, miss?" But she didn't budge. "Miss, are you alright?" I said while holding her arms. She immediately moved her arms away from me. Man, she's really shocked. "Miss. It's alright now. No one's going to touch you." She looked at me. I was surprised. This lady, she's the one I saw a while ago. "Am I...*sniff*...really...*sniff*...safe?" She asked. I looked at her eyes. Her eyes makes me calm. "Yes. Yes, you're safe now." I smiled at her.

And most of all, her eyes makes me want to take care of her.
