Chapter 6

Hinata's POV

"Toneri?"

He hugged me. "Hinata! It's been a while." I hugged him back. "Yes it is."

"I actually saw you entered the hospital  a while ago, but I wasn't sure if that's really you." We both laughed. "Wait! Why are you wearing a lab coat? Are you–" he cut me off. "Yes. I'm a doctor here."

"Wow. Toneri Otsutsuki is a doctor." he laughed. "You don't believe me?" I softly slapped his arm. "No. It's just that, I can't believe that you are a doctor. What is your specialization?"

"I'm a cardiologist."

He looked at me like he's going to check my reaction. I froze in my position. "W-what made you be a cardiologist?" He never left his eyes on me.

"Hinata, I believe you already know the answer to that question." He said cautiously. "I became a cardiologist because of my mom. And also because of you." I looked down.

"Hey, I didn't mean it in a romantic way. I know that the two of us were over. I already accepted that. I meant it as your friend slash bestfriend."

"Thanks Toneri." I smiled at him.

It's his turn to ask me. "How are you, Hinata? Do you have a man now?" He shouldered me.

I glared at him but I answered his questions. "I'm fine. And the answer to your other question, I don't have any." He raised his eyebrow. "Really?"

"Yes... Maybe... No... I mean I've been to a few dates but there is this one man that really caught my attention. I don't know why but I felt really comfortable when I'm with him. We only dated once but I'm already falling in love with him. Is that a bad thing?" I asked him.

"No it's not bad. That's a normal thing. What does he look like? What is his work? What is his name?" I leaned at the railings to look at the view of the city.

"Well, he has a blonde hair. He has a blue eyes. Oh, he actually work here." he immediately turned his head to me.

"Really? What department is he?" I laughed at him. "He's not in any department. He is actually the owner of this hospital." His eyes widened. "What?! Why didn't you tell me?!"

I laughed. "Come on, Hinata. It's not funny. So what's your real score?" I calmed myself down and then I frowned. "Well, Naruto is the fiancé of my best friend, Shion." "Oh. What are you going to do?" I smiled sadly to him.

"I don't know. Probably, I should stay away from him." I said.

"Can you?" He asked.

"Next question please." He laughed.

"Why are you working here anyway? Your family owns a hospital. Why not work there?" I asked him.

He holds the railings and looked at the buildings surrounding the city. "Well, you know my father. He wants me to be a Neurosurgeon. I don't want to him to dictate my life anymore." I went beside him.

"Is that really your reason?" He laughed and he shook his head. "You do really know me." We both laugh. "I don't want to be a Neurosurgeon because–" I cut him off. "You can't handle brains and spinal cord." Again, both of us laugh hard.

Naruto's POV

Knock knock

"Sir, Mr. Hyuga is here." I looked at the door. "Let him in." I replied to Sai.

The door opened then Hiashi came in.
I stood up and extended my arm to him. "It's nice to see you again, Mr. Hiashi. How are you?" He laughed a little. "I'm fine. How about you?" "Same. I'm fine too. What made you come here?"

Sai put down 2 glasses of water in front of us.

"I'm here to talk about the medicines that you need. I actually brought them. The truck where the medicines are at the basement." I smiled at him. "Thank you. By the way, did you see Hinata? She was here a while ago." His eyes widened and then he shaked his head. "No, I didn't. Did something happened?" He asked while doing something in his phone and then he put it on his left ear.

"Hinata. I heard that you are here at the hospital. What happened?" He asked nervously. "Oh I see. I thought something happened to you." He sighed.

"Since you're here, I want you to go here to Uzumaki's office." He stopped. Probably listening to his daughter reply. "Please, Hinata." His lips formed a small smile. "Okay. I'll wait for you."

After a few minutes, I saw her. She's with someone. I clenched my fist. Why am I feeling this way?

Mr. Hiashi have a slight smile on his face but you can see that he is shocked to see her daughter with my employee.

Mr. Hiashi squinted his eyes. "Are the two of you–?"

"NO!" They replied quickly.

"How are you and why are you here, Toneri?" I'm surprised that he knows him. "I'm fine. Thank you for asking. Well, Mr. Hiashi. I'm a doctor here. How are you, sir?" Hiashi nodded. "I'm fine." And then he turned to her daughter.

"Are you here because of Toneri?" He said with a smile on his face. While I focused my eyes at her. She looked at me and then she raised her eyebrow.

"No, dad. Why would I want to see him?" Toneri sighed. "That hurt me Hinata."

She pretended not to hear Toneri's words. "And we just saw each other a while ago. At the rooftop, to be exact." Hinata said.

He shaked his head. "Nothing. I just thought that you want to fix your 'relationship' with him." Hiashi said while quoting the word 'relationship'.

Hinata had her eyes wide. Then she looked at me. It's my turn to raise my eyebrow at her. She looked to her father.

"Dad, Toneri and I were over and you know that. And we ended it in a good way. No dramas." Hinata explained.

So, Hinata and that guy had a thing in a past. I clenched my fist.

I saw Hiashi smiled and I can see that he's having fun teasing her daughter. "I mean, why did the two of you broke up? There's no conflict between you two as I remember."

Hinata rolled her eyes. "Dad, Toneri and I were so young back then. I'm seventeen when the two of us got together. And, do we have to talk about this now?" Hinata said. "No." Hinata sighed. "So why did you called me here?" "Nothing. I just want to ask you, if we could eat lunch together. If you don't have any plans yet."

"Sure dad. I'll be waiting for you at the car." Before she walked to the door. Toneri talked to her in a low voice. I see that Hinata nodded and then Toneri placed his left arm on Hinata's neck, locking Hinata's head.

"Hey, Otsutsuki. Let her go already." Hiashi said with a strict tone. Then Hinata and Toneri laughed. I rolled my eyes.

Hinata saw that Toneri is distracted, so she took this chance to get out of his arms. And then she jump on his back.

"Argh! Hinata. Stop acting like a child." He said.

"Just go, Toneri! Bring me to my dad's car." She demanded.

She laughed with him.

She seems very happy with him.

Why am I jealous? It's not that I like her.
