Rose's POV
Rose played with her pizza, her appetite completely gone. All she had been thinking about the past few days was Andrew. She knew she should move on because he probably did, but she couldn't help it.
Rose discarded her pizza and pushed her plate away from her. She looked at the time and saw that it was four thirty. She looked down at her phone and hovered over the call button by Andrew's name.
She almost hit call but had a better idea instead. Rose ran up to her room and threw clothes into a duffel bag. She slipped on her blue flats, pulled her hair in a messy ponytail and ran out the door. She drove as quickly as she could to the airport.
Rose knew they were bound to have an empty seat on the next flight to New York, and she wanted to be on it. Rose needed to apologize to Andrew and she needed to do it face to face.
Twenty minutes couldn't come soon enough for Rose. She rushed into the airport and went to the next open booth. The lines were unusually long and Rose began tapping her foot in impatience. She didn't have time for this. Rose needed to get to New York and she needed to tell Andrew how she felt before he moved on. Rose at least needed to apologize, and then her conscious would finally be clear.
Rose continued to tap her foot which didn't help the line go any faster. Her shoe made a clicking and the man in front of her turned around. "Would you please stop that?" he asked rather annoyed.
"Sorry," Rose mumbled. Her foot stopped for half a second but then continued. She looked all around her and then at the line in front of her. There were still six people ahead of her and Rose wasn't too sure she'd be alive by the time she reached the front.
Before Rose could go insane, she felt a vibration in her pocket. She pulled out her phone and her heart skipped a beat when she saw the caller ID. "Andrew?" she whispered into the phone.
"Rose! It's so nice to hear your voice!" he exclaimed happily.
The background was kind of noisy and Rose wondered where he was. Before she asked she immediately began, "Andrew, look, I'm so sorry. I was wrong and I overreacted and I-" Rose was cut off before she could finish.
"Yeah, yeah I understand you are sorry and I am too. But can we get to apologies later?" Andrew asked.
Rose said in a surprised voice, "Uh, okay. Well I real-" Rose was cut off again by Andrew laughing.
When he finished chuckling her said softly into the phone, "Turn around."
Rose turned around, wondering what he could possibly mean. Rose nearly dropped her phone when she saw him smiling like a little boy at her. His hair was in its usual messy look and his green eyes were sparkling.
Rose didn't waste a second. She ran towards him and dropped her duffel bag along the way. He held open his arms and Rose ran right into them. She buried her head in his shoulder as he picked her up and swung her around.
He placed her back on the ground and said with a huge smile, "Surprise."
Rose hugged him again and took in the scent she so desperately missed. "I missed you," she mumbled into his shirt.
"I missed you too," he mumbled into her hair. They stayed in the hug for what felt like forever before Andrew pulled away. He brushed the loose hair from Rose's face and planted a kiss on her lips. "I've waited nine long months to do that."
Rose smiled when he pulled away. She wrapped her arms around his waist and looked him in the eyes. "You're still a handsome as ever."
"And you're still gorgeous as ever."
