Chapter 16.

After bickering back and forth with Zayn, he offered to drive me back home. In which I gladly accepted since I was torn out from practice.

As he dropped me off, he checked if we were still on tomorrow, I gave him a weird look, then remembered that he was talking about the tutoring. I told him to come over at 7 so that we can start and finish early.

As I entered my house, I greeted my mom and my little sister. I then went to take a shower and started doing my homework.

As I was doing my History homework, my phone Bing-ed. I literally jumped to pick it up from the counter. I opened my phone and clicked on the "New Message" Icon that appeared.

As I read the text, my heart literally stopped, my breath got caught in my throat, and tears started gathering in my eyes.

I immediately called Niall, since he's the only one who knows my secret, hoping for him to pick up as soon as possible. As he picked up from the third ring I immediately talked to him, not giving him time to say hello.

"Niall, I need you to come here. Now!" I said quickly.

"Why what's wrong?" He said sounding concerned.

"Niall, just come and I'll tell you everything."

After I hanged up, I began pacing back and forth in my room, reading the text I had received more than a million times, checking that I wasn't imagining things. As I heard the front door bell ring, I ran out of my room to open the door.

As I opened it, it revealed Niall, I grabbed his arm and dragged him into my room, ignoring my moms calls and weird looks. As we reach my room I threw my phone to him, he gave me a look and opened my phone.

"Read it out loud." I told him, he obeyed and did as told.

"Message from: Nick.
I'm sorry for what happened. and for what will happen." Niall read.

After he read he looked at me and said "What's wrong with that?"

"Niall, you don't understand. He humiliates me, he hurts me and then he comes back and tells me Sorry? And what does he mean by I'm sorry for what will happen? What if he's planning on hurting me?" I said while running my hand through my hair.

"Kris, take it easy. He's your best friend, right?"

"Ex best friend." I corrected him.

"Doesn't matter, what I'm trying to say here is that he won't hurt you on purpose."

"He already did!!"

"Yeah, but he won't hurt you that much"

"Again Niall, I repeat. HE ALREADY DID! And what does And for what will happen mean? Is he like, going to kidnap me or something?" I said with worry and fear written all over my face.

"Kris, he's your bes- I mean ex- best friend. He was close to you once. He'll never harm you physically!"

After Niall said so, I calmed down a little. But fear was still roaming inside me.

"Come on, let's go get some ice-cream, yeah? To get your mind of things?" Niall said.

"Yeah. I'd really like that, right now." I said nodding slowly.

"Stop thinking about it." Niall firmly. We went for some ice-cream, now we're just walking around while eating ice-cream. I can't help but think about the text message. It makes me paranoid.

"I can't help it." I said looking at him with sad eyes. Niall sighed and shook his head slowly.

"Do you think I should call and apologize for leaving him, since he already apologized? And you know, be friends again?" I said.

"You did nothing wrong. It's his fault. Plus you apologized and he ignored you. You tried too hard but what did he do? yeah, ignore you. AGAIN. and you think that just a 'Sorry' over a text  will do? Kris, you were hurt badly!" Niall said while looking kinda angry.

I stayed quite thinking about what Niall said. He's right. I tried apologizing but he shut me out. And now he's coming back, apologizing. OVER A FREAKN' TEXT? I cried to him for him to forgive me, I begged him, I did everything I could for him to forgive me, but all he did was glare at me. Now he's expecting me to forgive him over a text. He can kiss my arse.

I won't be able to update, if I did. That means I tried everything so I can write you the upcoming chapter.
