MAJORITY VOTE OPTION FOUR

You hear the voice, but ignore it. You've heard this voice for your entire life, and learned it's best to simply ignore it.

The voice will remember this.

Hey. Spacey.
Simply silence. It's not real, right? It's in your head, just as it always has been.
I know you can hear me.
Look, the rain's falling harder now. Haha. You wouldn't have thought that was possible before.
I can see it in your eyes.
You look in your rear-view mirror, and see the dark silhouette of a human sitting in your backseat. It leans closer to you.
I know you can see me.
You let out a small shriek as someone opens your car door and sits down in the passenger seat, the silhouette dissipating in response.

"Hah! What's wrong? Been stayin' up too late watching scary movies again? Whoever it was, he is coming for you!"

You scoff as a reply to the far too familiar voice. It's just Sam. Who else would it be?

"Very funny, wise guy," you say sarcastically.

"I'm not joking. Watch your back. Don't fall asleep. Don't walk into the haunted house. Don't be alone in the dark. And, whatever you do, don't. Trust. The fucking. Doll!"

You laugh in spite of yourself, all memories of any odd happenings completely washed from your mind as you pull out of your parking spot. "Hey, what kind of pizza did you get?" you ask your friend, glancing around for the boxes.

"Just cheese. And I threw them in the back seat while you were stuck in deep space," Sam replied helpfully, noticing your unfruitful search for the food.
. . . Your motorized vehicle is running out of fuel.
What blissful silence. Not a sound to be heard. Such a nice.. rainy... night.....
Your car suddenly beeps angrily at you, signalling a lack of gas.

"Shhhoot," you say in response to your alarming lack of gas and gas money. Sam, immediately understanding, helpfully offers to pay for it.

After smiling and thanking your friend, you pull out of your parking space and quickly drive away from your work place. The drive to a nearby gas station was quick and quiet, just the way you like car rides. When you got there, Sam hopped out of the car and started filling it up with gas.

A hundred dollar bill suddenly placed itself beside you.
Look, I helped. Now will you please listen? The subject of matter is actually important this time.

CHOOSE.

Option One.
You decide to listen to the voice now. After all, it did just pay 45% of your rent. "Fine, I'm listening.. Make it quick."

Option Two.
You still ignore the voice, and even the one hundred dollars casually sitting in the passenger's seat. It's got to be some sort of trick, right...?

Option Three.
You role your eyes. "Bribery?" You're not that desperate for money!

Option Four.
You quickly snatch up the money, but still refuse to acknowledge the voice. You needed money, but you didn't need this monster in your mind.

I will NOT write the next chapter until AT LEAST TEN PEOPLE VOTE FOR AN END IN THE COMMENTS. Thank you!
