edit: these chapters are so bad
HYUN:
His eyes never left her, as she slowly made her way onto the partially empty school bus. Her eyes scanned the bus for a seat that wasn't near anyone. She decided on a seat near the back, in the opposite row to the boy who was studying her. Her facial expressions, her movements, her posture. From what his mum had taught him, she looked like she was stressed or something. "Yah, V! Did you hear about some chick who's dad and brother passed away like on the weekend?" Jung Hoseok slams his hand down on 'V's shoulder, though the boy never took his eyes off the girl.
She stiffened. Her posture straightened, as she looked straight ahead. "Aish, keep it down idiot!" Min Yoongi scowls, slapping the back of 'J-hope's head.
"Yah, calm down Suga. Sad, really." Kim Namjoon, RM as he was nicknamed, sighed.
The four prepared their stuff as the school came into sight. As the bus was preparing to stop, the girl with fading blue hair with brown underneath stood. She swung her shoulder bag onto her right shoulder, heading to the bus door as the vehicle stopped. The girl slid out the door, fast walking to the school building.
Hyun entered the school she dreaded, and instantly regretted in. (made up school i think lmao)
' NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL OF SEOUL REGRETS TO ANNOUNCE THAT THE LIVES OF LEE BAEKHYUN AND LEE CHOI HAVE TRAGICALLY BEEN LOST IN A STORM.'
Hyun's anger ripples through her, as she storms over to the brightly coloured poster. She rips it off, tearing it into pieces, then drops it on the floor. She hastily made her way to her homeroom, tears welling up in her eyes. Her mentor group seemed to mostly be there, only missing herself and a few others. It was as if she was some demon, everyone froze. "Lee Hyun.. We are deeply so-"
"Don't even try." Hyun snaps, throwing her bag on her desk. She grabbed out her phone, putting her headphones in. The bell rung just as kids entered the room, making a few students jump. Hyun sighed, turning her volume down and proceeding to stare out the window. "Good morning! How is everyone today?" Mrs. Kai grins, letting the room burst into a cheerful ensemble of voices. Hyun, though, didn't move her mouth at all, nor did a certain boy looking at her from across the room. "Ms. Lee? Hyun-ssi?" Mrs. Kai calls softly, successfully catching the young girls attention. "Yes?" She mutters, taking an earphone from her ear. "How are you, dear?"
Hyun looks at her hands, sighing. "I am fine."
Mrs. Kai smiles sadly, turning her attention to the boy with purple-y/orange-y/brown hair. "And you, Kim Taehyung?" The boy offers a box shaped grin, making the teacher grin along. "You seem very happy."
Unlike the girl with faded blue hair.
"I am rather happy today, Miss." 'Taehyung' agrees, putting his thumbs up. "That's very good to hear."
The class and Mrs. Kai talk for a while, until the bell for first period goes. Luckily, Hyun along with some of the kids in her mentor group didn't have to move- considering they had their English class in the same room.
Hyun usually sat by herself, but today a girl which longish dark red hair sat next to her. "Hi, I'm Min Aurora!" She introduces herself happily, holding out her hand in hopes of shaking hands with the girl. "You're American, aren't you?" Is all Hyun says, looking at the girl's hand with distaste. "Well, yeah.. Are you Lee Hyun?" Aurora whispers, putting her head in her palms. "No, I'm Lee Sun-Hee." Hyun says sarcastically, rolling her eyes. "Yeah, I'm Lee Hyun. Just call me Hyun though."
"Nope! You're older than me! I shall call you- Unnie!" Aurora announces with triumph. "No, it's Hyun. Could you shut up?" Hyun sighs, rubbing her temples with frustration. "Hello everyone! Today, we will practice saying our feelings in English!" Mrs. Kai claps happily, grinning widely. Everyone groaned, even Aurora, but Hyun didn't. She was the golden child of English.
It seemed as though everyone could only say 'Happy' in English, but Aurora said 'I'm ecstatic!'- which made Mrs. Kai very happy.
"Okay, Lee Hyun, stand up. It's your turn, dear." Mrs. Kai smiles encouragingly. Hyun inhales shakily, standing up and cleared her throat softly.
"I'm feeling... Hurt. I feel a lot of pain, it's unbearable. My heart hurts. I feel sad, betrayed, alone and negative." Hyun mutters, making everyone 'oooh', they were impressed by her partially fluent English. Mrs. Kai looks down, offering a small smile for the girl. Hyun nods, sitting.
"It will get better, dear." Mrs. Kai tells her, handing her the sheet. "Nothing hurts forever."
