HYUN
Hyun missed him.
She follows her eomma, who led her inside of their house. Her face was blank, almost like Tae's face when he isn't doing anything. That made her feel a bit better, but the funeral confirmed the death of her oppa and appa. Hyun was trying her best to try to believe that they were still alive.
Her eomma excused herself, heading to her room and closing the door. Hyun was left standing in the kitchen, listening to the clock tick.
Tick, tock, tick, tock.
It drove into her head, successfully making the heartbroken girl fall to her bruised knees, then to the floor. Her smooth, milky white cheek was against the cold, hard floorboards. Her hands lay by her side, and that was the moment she wished she was dead.
She let a tear fall from her eye, and watched as it splashed on the ground, just as someone knocked on the door. She heard the voices of many boys, but didn't respond. They knocked again.
And again.
And again.
Until she felt her phone ring, which resided in her sweaty hands. She shakily accepted the call without looking, and lifted the phone to her ear. "Hy-"
"Come in." She whispered, ending the phone call as soon as she said it. There was a murmur from outside.
Hyun waited for the door to swing open, and counted five seconds before it did. She turned onto her back, imagining her glowing ceiling and her appa and eomma laying on either side of her as she watched her brother stick the blasted glowing shapes to her roof, making her laugh as they fell off and hit his face. She remembered his voice, saying "Aigoo.. Aigoo~ the things I do for the demon child."
She wanted it back, and imagined herself in a coffin again. "Hyun!" A deep voice shouts, running over to her. Other feet followed, as they dropped to the ground next to her. "Hyun, are you okay?" Jin asks, worry clear on his face.
It took a minute, before she spoke up. "What is life?" She murmured, a smile etched across her pale and chapped lips. "What?" Jimin frowns, looking around. "What is life?" Hyun repeats, not making eye contact with them. "Life-" Rapmon starts, but loses his words as they all look towards Tae. They remember him asking the exact same question.
Said person had tears gathering in his narrow eyes, his bottom lip quivering as he stares at the blank girl. "Hyun- I'm going to go make you something, the others will help me after they help you to your lounge, okay? Tae will stay with you." Jin informs the girl, trying to keep a straight face as the girl he had grown for fell apart in front of him. She said nothing.
Everyone looked at Tae, and he stood. He steadied himself, then lifted Hyun into his arms. "Let me go, Tae." She whispers, her gaze now on him. Only him.
"No." He growls, which scared the boys. Jin took Namjoon's arm, shoving him towards the kitchen, and the others followed after Tae. They already found him sitting on the couch with Hyun in his arms. He was mumbling something in her ear as he intertwined their fingers. The sight was almost heartbreaking, Hyun looking lifeless in Taehyung's scarred arms.
Suddenly, her sobs filled the room. Jungkook squeezed his eyes shut, putting his head on Jimin's shoulder. J-Hope wanted to crack a joke, though it wasn't exactly appropriate for this situation. Suga's lips formed a thin line, as he turned and walked out. J-Hope followed, and soon enough Jimin led Jungkook out too.
