Chapter Three

Yea I got a bit confused with the chapters sorry... v.v to be fair it's my first book on Watt Pad an  I had no idea  I was supposed to publish it by chapters so...on  section will jab  two chapters in it sorry! And recently I saw 19 people have read my book! That makes me so happy! I know it's only 19 but still it makes me happy.

Matthews side of the story...

"Oh Matthew?" My mother asked while fixing my messed up tie, "What mother?" I asked somewhat snappishly. I was furious. Why did I have to be the one to go to that stupid party? "Why can't my sister go?" I asked the question I've been wondering for days.

My mother sighed, " Because she's the beta not the alpha. Now act your position Matthew. And if you were to somehow meet your mate tonight I wouldn't be the least bit mad-"

So this is what this is about. She wanted me to find my mate! My Luna! As if.

Once she had finished with my tie I turned away from her and snatched my keys. I was more than a little ticked off.

As I walked off I could just hear my mother mumble "We need a Luna..."

I hopped into my sleek New car and drove off all the while thinking about what a bitch this girl would be. Ugh. I already don't like her. And that's just my imagination!

I parked my car. Damn their was a lot of cars here. And that pack house! Huge!

I grumbled angrily and checked my watch. 10:20 perfect timing.

I stepped out of my car and walked to the front porch. I opened the door with a sigh. "Hello sir. The party is in the ballroom to the left. Would you like some wine?" A girl I assume was in her twenties and most defiantly an omega with dark brown hair offered a plate with tiny drinks of wine on it. "Thanks but no thanks." I grumbled. I knew it was rude but I was just in a really bad mood.

The omega looked offended but said nothing more. Probably guessing my rank.

I snarled and walked to the ballroom stiffly. This stupid tux....

Suddenly I get an amazing whiff. It smelled like roses and chocolate. I shivered. My mate is here? Oh no. Oh no no no. I hope she is just an omega. Please please let her just be an omega an  not a bitch!

I followed the scent but got distracted a gathering. What's going on?

'Come on let's find her!' Zeke my wolf whimpered.

'In a minute it might be important.' I said without much excitement.

I walked forward to see what everyone was doing. "That's them that's the alpha's daughters!" I heard someone whisper. "The one in the white... It's her party!" I heard someone else whisper. So much gossip.

I pushed forward so I could see. Oh no! It was her! That woman! She was...amazing... She was small, only about five foot something with long blonde hair and was dressed in an amazing white dress with sparkling lace. I felt my knees buckle... She was gorgeous. I had to meet her!

'Lets go let's go!' My wolf cried excitedly.

'We will we will!'

I was equally excited.

My beautiful mate stood there looking terrified. Poor girl must have stage fright! But then a male appeared and grasped her hand pulling her down the stairs to the dance floor. I snarled lowly just so low  that no one could  hear. I must find her.

I began pushing my way through all the  people, following her amazing scent.

Once I caught up with her she had her back to me. I took a deep sigh an  said in a voice I hoped wasn't too rude. "Hello." She  turned with a surprised look on he  angelic face. She said nothing just starred an  I knew she  felt the same way I did. She smiled and I just about dropped. She had the most amazing smile I had ever seen.

"Hello." I said again just In case  She  hadn't heard me. "Hi." Her voice was like an angels.

Soon w  we r  dancing and swaying to the music. Thank goodness it was a slow song! She started to tell me about herself, "I am KassidyLily Love the alpha's daughter, this is my party, I can't say that I don't rely on my sisters. They are my best friends. Well along with my closest friends Carissa and Adam." Adam? Was Adam the one holding her hand?

'Maybe they are just friends?' I asked uncertainty.

'I doubt it! Did you see the way he dragged her!'

'I don  know..'

"Why don't you tell me about yourself?" She asked. I starred down into her beautiful icy blue eyes and she blushed a pretty pink. She was shy.

"Well... I am Matthew Fern, I am the alpha of the Snow Pack, I have one little sister. And I really am usually dressed up as a stuck up snob.." I said and pointed to my tux. She turned even pinker in the cheeks, "I think it looks cute." She said quietly. "Why thank you, and might I say you look ravishing in that white dress of yours?" I said faking an accent. We began laughing and the song was soon over.

"Well it looks like this song is over." I said a little nervously. This was my chance! I entwined our hands and leaned down so that our face was only an inch apart when-

"Lily!" A man's voice came yelling. She dropped our hands and faced away from me.  That horrid Adam came running towards her. He snatched her hand and tried to take her away from me! I snarled menacingly. "Come on!" he cried trying to take her away. "Tell me why first!"  and to my horror she threw herself into his arms in a hug which he gladly returned. I could feel my anger rise and a growl ripped up from my chest. She  looked at me horrified, but before she could say anything, Adam gasped and said, "Alyssa, Carissa Insanity Pack attacking tried to help but too many!" I saw the blood dripping from his shoulder and knew this was no lie.

Her face took on a horrible look and it felt like my heart had been slapped seeing her terror and pain. "Take him to the infirmary Matthew," she whispered. In her voice there was pain and I was scared she might faint. I stared at her just to make sure she wouldn't faint before I nodded once.

She lept into the air. an  in mid leap she transformed into a gorgeous grey wolf. as she was running two white wolves I assumed were her sisters joined her, and together they left everyone in a state of terror and surprise.

I had to go help her. But... Adam was looking pale and was leaning against the  wall loosing more and more blood. It felt a  though I had broken a promise if I had left him. Just have to drop him off then help her. I said  to myself.

I grabbed him by his shirt. I drag him forward. "Come on." I snarled. Sadly, he stumbled and fell. great. I was going to have to drag him. I helped him to his feet and put his arm over my should mostly dragging him.

"Grab his other arm." I snarled at the nearest omega. he quickly complied and we began to drag him to the infirmary.

It made me furious that I was helping the man that I expected was trying to steal my mate. The omega and I dragged him onward stopping every now and then to let Adam catch his breath. This was going to take forever! How could I help my mate if I was here helping her injured friend?!

I growled to myself.

I had only just met my mate, yet I wanted to protect her with my life. What could be going on?

"Where is the infirmary?!" I snarl through my teeth. All this thinking was putting me on edge. "Just around this corner!" The omega said terrified of my temper. Good. He should be.

As we rounded the corner two women came up to us with wide eyes, "What happened?!" One of them cried. I smirked, "Insanity Pack attacked. I assume you'll heal him then?" The younger woman looked at his shoulder wound, "Of course come inside and set him on a bed."

We did as she told us. Adam was breathing hard with his eyes closed, "Grab the morphing she said to the woman beside her.

"So can I leave now?!" I growled, it was now killing me. " Of coarse said the woman with the shot. I could look d tell she was surprised at my anger. I couldn't careless.

I darted out of the room but was halted. My heart felt as though it had been stepped on. What's going on?!?! I asked myself. I was answered almost immediately by the tortured scream of a wolf...
