Hey guys, I've been getting less and less views and that's pretty depressing :(  But I'll keep my hopes up and try to become a better writer :D

Chapter Ten

"Welcome back, Luna." had been all I had been hearing since I got back into town.

"Is it annoying you?" Asked the elder, Mary. I rolled my eyes. "Yeah, a little. But I'm glad they missed me rather then celebrated my little vacation."

To get away from some of the more obnoxious welcomings, I decided to hide out with Mary and a few of the mother's whose children were out playing. It was pretty relaxing and quiet, which I easily welcomed.

"So what have you been doing while you were out?" Mary asked politely.

"Oh you know, I went to the Library." which was  not a lie! I did go to the Library, just perhaps one that Matthew would not approve of...

"That's all?" Mary asked casually.

I raised my chin, "I did go see a movie with my sister, Alyssa. You know, Gravity."

"I heard that was a good one." Mary smiled and patted a young child gently on the head. "So, have you seen Matthew yet? He's been driving us all crazy asking if we had heard from you."

"No, I haven't had the chance yet. I think I will soon though." I was a tad bit timid to go see Matthew, though I most certainly had done nothing wrong. "Plus I'm sure he could use a little guy time. I bet Dan's still mad at me."

"Oh please do forgive Dan." She said fretfully, "He recently lost his mate you see, and Matthew was his closest friend and seeing him spend all his time with you has made him a bit mad, but he'll be fine. He really is a sweet boy."

"I don't blame him for being so upset." I frowned. "I can't imagine what I would do if I lost Matthew, and I've only know him for a short time."

"That's wolf love for you." Mary smiled at me happily. "Anyways, I think you should go see Matthew. I'll talk to you another time. Mate's can get a little anxious when they don't have contact with their mate."

"Yeah, I'll go see him right now." With that I got up from the chair I was  sitting in and began to walk up the stairs to my room with both anxiety and joy building up in my chest.

I opened the door tentatively and looked around the darkly decorated floor, just the same as I had left it. There was only one thing that struck me as odd. It was Matthew pacing around in a large circle clearly deep in thought.

"Matthew?" I asked silently closing the door be him  me a  I entered the room. "Lily!" His head snapped up and he rushed  towards, enveloping me in a tight embrace. I nearly choked with his arms wrapped so tightly around me.

I pulled back from him gently and smiled up at him. "You act like you haven't seen me in ages." I laughed.

There was a faint trace of pink in his cheeks. He was actually embarrassed. "Well, it seemed like it."

I rolled my eyes and moved to sit on the couch. "Don't be so dramatic," i waved my hand in the air, "it's not like I ran away."

Matthew sat beside me on the couch, clearly not happy with my reaction. He arched an eyebrow, "Are you okay, Lily?"

"You got you're cast taken off?" I asked suddenly, before he could make me feel guilty. "Well, I guess we do heal faster than humans..." I murmured feigning interest.

"Yes. Now don't change the subject." Matthew said sternly. "I would like to know why you seem so edgy."

"I'm not edgy!" I folded my arms across my chest and narrowed my eyes dangerously. It really amazed me how Matthew could guess that I was edgy...I didn't think I was giving off any hints.
