That Day
That day I still remember
1999
I was wonderin' in the darkness
All the suffering was mine
That day I still remember
'Cause I opened up my eyes
I turned away from the shadows
And I stepped into the light
It was the day that I found Jesus
And He took away the pain
It was His sacrafice that freed us
That washed our sin away
And I knelt down at the feet
Of my Lord and I prayed
That He'd come into my heart
And I through Christ was saved

The Depths
You stare from the ocean
At blinding light
You, who are broken
And consumed by fright
You realize you are sinking
Weighed down by your hate
You inhale the water
It's blood that you taste
You see the end coming
It's close, it's near
The current is rushing
You far from here
But your arm extends
From within the depths
To the light that is shrinking
Along with your breath
It pulls you out
From the ocean of blood
You gasp for breath
You're breathing love
The light stands before you
It's someone you know
He opens His arms
And says, "welcome home."

Why We Fight
You step upon the battlefront
Sword in arm, blade that's blunt
You're not alone
Not on your own
The light is shone
The One is known
And even when your time has come
And for you the Holy War is done
In the future, all is won
You know why you fought
Through this havoc that is wrought
For the one thing that is that's been sought
For what others haven't got
For your Lord that art in Heaven
You've fought with your limbs leaden
Alongside all your brethren
For the souls that are lured
Away from the sword
From the word
So that they may know the Lord
So they may know the Love
That comes from Heaven above
