The punishment

Ken looked at Leo discuss with Hyuk, a member of the club of the seven. How could he be able to face and talk to him? He had never dared to speak to him since his arrival at the university. His friend Hakyeon had more courage than him. But this courage, Ken had to find it today to face Leo. Hakyeon was in danger. He took a few steps and stopped. Why was he not able to say these words: Hakyeon is in danger? Wasn't he his friend? Yes, he could be proud and happy to have Hakyeon and Hongbin among his friends. Yet Ken knew that if he failed to rescue his friend, he would never dare to face him again. He would be too ashamed of himself. "Do you need anything? "Asked a hoarse voice behind his back. Taken by surprise, Ken turned. He saw before him a young man with brown and short hair in front of him. Ken took a few seconds to recognize him. It was indeed a member of the club of the seven. He did not know his name, but he had to find the right person to help. Ken threw himself on him and took his arm. "Hakyeon ..... Hak ... people are attacking him, he needs help" Ken managed to say. The man looked at him intently, trying to understand his words, then dice he realized the meaning, he made a hand sign to Leo. The latter responded to the appeal by approaching them. Ken knew that he looked like a man in panic, but he could not do otherwise, his friend was in danger. " What is happening ? "Asked Leo to the man in front of Ken. "This man said that a Hakyeon is in danger. Was it not this young man who ask you to go out with him? "The man replied. Ken immediately noticed the change in the facial expression of Leo. " Where is he ? "Leo asked, turning toward Ken. Ken pointed a finger to the exit and Leo and his friends followed.

"Stop immediately" Leo said in a muffled voice. Ravi had chills. He was friends with Leo for years, but he never liked to hear him use that tone of voice. Leo was angry, and he was right. Students were giving kick to a student lying on the ground. They were many against one person. Ravi knew it was freshman students. He could recognize some of them. How could they go after one of them? What Hakyeon had done to them? "I want each of you in the hall and immediately" Leo continued with the same tone of voice. The freshmen seemed startled to hear him. They dispersed quickly. Ravi knew Leo would book them a great punishment, but for now it was necessary to care for Hakyeon. Ken ran to his friend, but he was lying on the ground motionless. He had several welts on the body. It had to hurt, thought Ravi. He saw Leo to head to Hakyeon and lift him up. "We need to get him to the hospital," said Leo. He took a few steps before turning to Hyuk. "I leave you the choice of methods, but made them understand that in this university, we work as a team, but not against each other," said Leo. "You can count on me" Hyuk replied, heading toward the hall room. Ravi followed Leo and the student. His attention was drawn to Ken. The latter cried a lot seeing that his friend did not answer. He had to feel bad, thought Ravi. He walked over to him and put his hand on his shoulder. "Do not worry, he'll be fine," said Ravi. Ken did not seem to believe it, but he still nodded.

Ken had informed the family of his friend and Hongbin of the situation. He still could not calm down despite the comforting presence of the friend of Leo. Normal, since their arrival at the hospital, doctors had not given them news  about Hakyeon. In addition, Leo could not sit still, it increased even more Ken's stress. Leo seemed both anxious and angry. He walked back and forth in the room and spoke to no one. The door of the hospital room of Hakyeon opened and a doctor stood before them. Ken does not have time to open his mouth that Leo had asked a question to the doctor. " How is he ? "Asked Leo. "Fortunately there is nothing broken, he will get away with bruises," replied the doctor. Ken, Ravi and Leo breathed a sigh of relief. "Can we see him ? "Ken asked. "Yes, he's awake," replied the doctor. Ken rushed to the door immediately.

Hakyeon ached. He did not expect to receive such treatment from students. Yet he had thought to do good thing for them, but he was not . He tried to move in the bed but it was too bad. The door opened and Ken threw himself into his arms. Hakyeon really had too much pain, but he did not want to worry his friend so he acted like everything was fine. "I'm sorry I do not deserve to be your friend. I have not even been able to protect you, "Ken said, weeping. "I'm fine Ken" Hakyeon replied, trying to smile. "No you're not, you have bruise all over my body," said Ken. " So what ? this will make beautiful decorations tomorrow. What do you want me to do to prove that I'm fine? I can got up and I started to dance.  I can do it you know, "said Hakyeon trying to reassure his friend. He knew he was not even able to sit alone on his bed, but he did not want Ken to be sad because of him. Ken had done his best. It was not his fault. "Stop," said a voice beside him. Hakyeon turned his head and looked at Leo. He had not noticed his presence or that of the man who was with him. "Stop pretending. You do not need to be strong. You just endure the betrayal of people you thought were allies. You have to be sad and angry against them, against yourself for having trusted them, then Jebal do not pretend to be ok, "Leo said before leaving the room. Ravi followed. Hakyeon watched them go without reacting. Why this man still had hurtful words? He tried hard not to cry in front of his friend. Yet after this truth spoken by Leo Hakyeon had no longer the strength to pretend. He felt his tears flow and Hakyeon lowered his mask.

Two days later, he felt better. Really better. Leo was never returned to see him, but Ken and Hongbin came to spend every afternoon with him. Yet the news that Hakyeon had heard were not to his taste. "How long was he punished? "He asked. "Since this morning, Leo does not have the right to move the university's sports field. He did not have the right to eat or drink since morning. Yet it was  a very hot day today. "Said Hongbin. Hakyeon felt bad. Is Leo had been punished because of him? He had to know. " Why ? "Asked Hakyeon. "Since your hospitalization, the club of the seven punished many students . The members of the club of graduates didn't like it so they punished the president for his actions, as Leo is the president then... " Ken said. Hakyeon felt bad. Because of him, Leo had problems, he had to help him. He pulled the covers and got out of bed " You are crazy. What are you doing ? You just start to feel better, "Ken said. "I have to go Ken. Hongbin help me get dressed. I have to see him, "said Hakyeon. His decision was made and he would not accept a NO.

"Stop" begged Hakyeon but Leo refused to answer him. One of the seven members of the club had told him that Leo wanted to set a good example. But he had show enough . He had stood all day on the sports field without eating or drinking. He could stop now, especially since it was raining hard since a few minutes. Hakyeon was afraid that Leo became sick. "Leo, please stop , you're gonna be sick" begged Hakyeon again. No answer. Hakyeon saw that Leo had trouble keeping still standing. He did not want to see him fall to the ground in front of many students who were still waiting for the end of his ordeal. Hakyeon put his hand on the forehead of Leo and was in shock. He was burning with fever. He did not wait for the opinion of Leo and gave a sign towars the club members of the seven. Leo had to be treated. Yet before Ravi, Hyuk and other could help, Leo was unconscious.

Hakyeon beg and beg again to be allow to take care of Leo. He told to Ravi and Hyuk that  he had to repay the night when Leo had taken care of him. So after putting Leo warm in bed and giving him drugs, his friends had left him. Hakyeon stay. They were now in the middle of the night and Hakyeon did not stop to take care of Leo. He was beginning to feel tired. He put his hand on the forehead of Leo to see his temperature. Phew, his fever was gone. Hakyeon felt better. He let his hand slide on Leo hair. He had always dreamed to touch it and also caress his face. But Hakyeon had not seen that Leo was awake. He quickly withdrew his hand. He expected to see him angry, but Leo did not seem to be. Instead, he put his hand to a wound on Hakyeon's cheek and he seemed to be worry for him. "That must hurt," Leo said. "It was very painful, but less now," said Hakyeon. "Why you wanted to appear stronger than you are? "Asked Leo. "Why did you want to challenge your limits to the point of being sick? "Hakyeon replied. A smile then drew on the face of Leo. Hakyeon was in shock. Did Leo smile to him ? To him, Hakyeon? Yet it was the most beautiful smile in his life. Hakyeon wanted that smile lasts forever. But he had already disappeared. "I can not be your friend Hakyeon. I am the student président so I have to remain objective, at least until your initiation, "said Leo. "It's good because I do not want you as a friend, but as a boyfriend," said Hakyeon. "Stop this game," said Leo. "My question is still awaiting a response," said Hakyeon. " What  question ? "Asked Leo. "Will you go out with me Mimi" asked Hakyeon. Leo was angry. "I already told you ...." Leo began. "To never use that name in public, yes I know. But we're alone now. So let me use it at least for tonight, "begged Hakyeon. He expected a refusal of Leo. Yet he did not answer him. He simply give him his back. Hakyeon smiled. He was happy. Leo had not forbidden him to say his nickname. "I .... I would say it maybe one day .... or not," murmured Leo. But Hakyeon had heard. His smile widened. He could still have hope.
