Tess' POV:

'Why Tess, you're so beautiful'

I looked up at him, tears in my eyes. Upon seeing me like this he immediately tenses.

'I didn't mean to make you cry Tess, you don't have to tell me if you don't want to'

'It's fine' I weakly smiled up at him letting the tears spill.

'I haven't always been like this, only three years. My parents where amazing people. They where doctors, surgeons to be exact, they travelled be world performing some of the hardest surgeries possible. It was Christmas Eve and they where due to be flying home and I was meeting them at the air port at seven pm Christmas Eve, but they showed. The airport announced that there had been a plane crash' I began to explain, tears freely running downy face. Tom looked at me, sorrow filling his eyes, he leant towards me and wiped the tears from my face with the pads of his thumb.

'They never made it home Tom. I spoke to some of the plane crash survivors, my parents made sure everyone else was okay before trying to get off the plane. But it was too late, my mother had internal bleeding and died before any rescue services could reach them. My father bled to death from a large cut running from his ankle to his mid thigh. It was my fault they died Tom. They should've been getting a plane home on Boxing Day, but I made them get that plane so that we could spend Christmas together.' I began sobbing and hiccuping. Tom pulled me into his chest, I didn't resist it, it felt so right to be here with him.

'It's not your fault Tess' he murmured in my ear.

'It's just me now Tom, I have no one left.' I whimpered

Tom's POV:

'You have me' I said quietly. I tilted her face up towards mine, wiping away the tears and tucking strands of her hair behind her ears. I slowly leant in to kiss her, I brushed my lips against hers, she tensed at the contact so I backed off. I'd ruined it. I hadn't known this beauty for even a day and I'd ruined it.

Well that's what I though until she put her arms around my neck and pulled my head down towards hers and connected her soft lips with mine. Our lips moved in sync with one and other, this felt so perfect I never wanted it to end. I brushed my tongue against her bottom lip, asking for entrance which she granted. Our tongues explored each-others mouths. She tugged against the hair at the nape of my neck as I bit her lip, playfully yet gently. I broke the contact and rested my forehead against hers.

'This is so wrong Tess, you're half my age. I could get into serious trouble if word of this got out'

'If it's so wrong, then why does it feel so right?' She questioned me.

I had no answer for that one, all I know is that Tess is perfect and I could kiss her all day everyday.

I glanced at the clock on the wall which read 23:02, she followed the direction in which my eyes took and frowned.

'I better get going' she said. I didn't want her to leave, not yet, not now, not ever.

'Stay, please?' I begged, 'I have a spare room if you'd like?'

Tess' POV:

'Okay' I said without even realising I had said it. His whole face lit up and I smiled to myself. He is so gorgeous, inside and out.

'Cool I'll show you to your room' we walked along the corridor, he opened the door and waited for me to go first, such a gentleman. I looked at the queen sized bed, I could lie width ways and still not reach either end.

'The shower is through that door, I'll leave some fresh clothes and towels outside your door' he smiled goofily.

'Night Tessa, I'll see you in the morning, love.' He gently pulled me into a hug and brushed his lips against mine before pulling away and closing the door behind himself.

I padded into the bathroom looking around at my surroundings, it was all so beautiful. I walked over to the school bag I had with me and took out one of razors and took it to the bathroom with me. I slid the sharp blade against my skin, feeling all my emotions run out my body. Blood poured from my wrists as I sliced a further five more cuts on my arm. I heard a knock at my door and tensed up. I heard the door open to the main room and then Tom calling out

'Tess? You left your phone on the coffee table I was wondering if you wanted it?'
I heard him get closer to the bathroom door and I glanced down at my bloody wrists.

Tom's POV:

I gently twisted the door handle to the bathroom to see if she was in there. She tried to call out something, but it was too late I'd seen. Blood covered her skin, a razor in her left hand soaked in blood and blood all over the bathroom sink. I gasped at the sight and she looked at me ashamed of herself.

'I'm sorry Tom, you shouldn't have to see this'

I stood there in a state of shock for at least five minutes before Tess sneezed and it brought me back to reality.

'You don't have to be sorry Tess' I said gently. 'Does it help?' I asked

'It eases the pain of them being gone, it's clears my head and drains my emotions so I can't feel anything' she answered truthfully.

I walked to the bathroom cabinet and pulled out some bandage, after helping her wash her cuts I delicately wrapped her wrists. I kissed her wrist before looking up at her.

'You don't have to do this Tom'

'I want to'

She leant up and kissed my lips delicately, she was so addictive.

'Night Tess'

'Tom?'

'Hmm?' I turned around

'Can you stay with me tonight?' She asked me sheepishly

A smile lit up my whole face
'Anything for you, love' I smirked.

I walked over to the bed and climbed in, she got in at the other side and we both lay there for a while. I wanted to hold her so much. I wrapped an arm around her waist and pulled her small body into mine. She giggled before grabbing my hand and playing with it. Her hands looked so small in my large ones, I pressed my face to the back of her head

'Sweet dreams Tess'

'You too Tom, you too'

Tess' POV:

I woke up early the next morning, looking around at my scenery I realised I was not at home. I immediately panicked, until I remember that I had stayed the night at Tom's hotel room. I turned my head to see him with his arm wrapped over my back, still asleep. Stepping out of bed I checked the time 4:56. Good the sun hasn't risen yet, pulling my sketch book and water-coloured pencils from my bag, I sat on the windowsill in the living room and waited for the sun to rise. As the sun began to rise, I knew I had to work fast otherwise I'd miss it. I quickly sketched the New York skyline and began to add colour to my page.

Tom's POV:

I groaned as I woke up to the sound of my alarm, why was it still set to 7:00am? I turned my head and that's when I realised Tess wasn't with me, her side of the bed was stone cold. I quickly jumped out of bed and knocked on the bathroom door but got no response. What if she had already left? I dashed into the hallway and that's when I saw her, her neck was craned over a sketch book, her hair was thrown up in a messy bun and she bit her bottom lip as she concentrated on whatever she was drawing. She couldn't look more perfect if she tried. I padded over to her, but she didn't hear me, she was too engaged with her sketching. I wrapped my arms around her thin frame and it made her jump, I chuckled and she giggled.

'Whatcha drawing?' I enquired

'Well I was drawing the sunrise until someone disturbed me' she said with a wink. She turned the picture around to show me and it was breathtaking.

'Holy cow Tess, you never told me you could draw' I gaped

'You never asked' she shrugged modestly

'Fair enough' I laughed. My stomach began to rumble and I immediately felt embarrassed, Teas however found it hilarious and wouldn't stop laughing.

'I was wondering if you didn't have anything planned, do you want to come to mine and I'll make you breakfast?' She asked me politely

Well I couldn't say no to that.

'Sure thing' I grinned.
