October 2nd (Tiffany's POV)
I was sitting in class during 4th hour, with confused feelings blowing inside of me. I'm still angry with my mom, but I can't help but still feel a bit sorry for her. She lost Emily who was the love of her life.
"Class, please turn in these papers in two days. I'll give you some work time before the bell rings. You can also find someone to work with on the paper." Says my mom/ Miss DiLaurentis, bringing me back to reality.
"You wanna work together?" Asks Derek, turning to the back to face me. "Sure." I say.
After we figure out who has to write what, I finally thank him for helping me out at the hospital.
"No problem!" He says with the whitest smile on his tan face. I couldn't help but notice his ocean blue eyes were glimmering in the sunlight's reflection from the windows.
"I didn't mind staying with you while you rested." He says, making me smile. For a moment his blue dreamy eyes locked with my light brown ones. It felt like it were just me and him in that classroom. But the bell rang and interrupted our 40 second long gaze.
"Can I have your number so that um...we can work on the paper?" Asks Derek, as we both gather our things.
"Sure." I say, quickly writing it down.
"Here's my number and tell me tomorrow if it doesn't work."
"Thanks and I'll see you later, I guess."
"Yeah I'll see you later." I say.
As we both walk out towards the door, I notice that my mom was watching us from her desk. I wonder if she remembers that Derek is Hanna and Caleb's son.
