(Tiffany's POV) October 3rd, 4:30 pmAs we're sitting on my bed working on the paper, Derek mentions "Your eyes are...really pretty in the sunlight."
"Thanks Derek, you know you're very sweet."
"I can be quite charming," says Derek as he tries to impersonate a British accent. We both laugh together as we share a moment.
We than both reach for our pencils but as we do our hands touch and our eyes meet. I make the first move by holding his hand. Than he inches closer to my face and we share a small sweet kiss. His lips are soft and sweet and my heart was beating like a drum. We both lean away and I give his hand a small squeeze. Than we start to settle back on working but we can't help but give each other glances every now and then.
Two Hours later
"Looks like we're done with the paper," says Derek as he's packing his stuff into his black backpack. "I guess so. I'll see you tomorrow," I say.
"Yeah and I was wondering if maybe you would like to do something outside of schoolwork and like hangout or something at the brew," he says as he's going out of my bedroom door. "Yeah I would like that," I say as I'm following him downstairs.
"Bye," I say as I'm closing the main house door.
"So who's he?" Asks my ma, Emily.
I turn around from the door facing my ma smirking at me. "He's just a friend."
"Just a friend, Tiffany? I don't believe that from the way you two we're looking at each other."
"I swear he is just a friend," I answer firmly.
"Alright fine I believe you, and also mom has dinner ready."
"Yes! I. Am. Starving."
One hour later
After a delicious chicken salad dinner, my moms and I decide to watch an old movie. As I'm sitting next to my moms, I notice that my mom/Alison has a few hickeys on the side of her neck. I laugh a little and my mom looks at me.
"What's so funny? We're at the part where we find out the character has cancer," says Alison.
"Oh I'm not laughing about that. I'm laughing at the hickeys on your neck."
"And why would that be funny?" She asks.
"I just didn't think you two would be so needy already," I say still laughing.
Now Emily starts laughing and Alison looks at her to stop what she's doing.
"Okay stop it you two. Let's get back to the movie," says Alison.
October 4th, 12:23 pm
It's currently lunch time and me and Derek already turned in our paper two periods ago. As I'm heading toward a seat I decide to maybe try to find someone new to sit with. I spot two girls, one with brown hair and beautiful hazel eyes and the other with dark brown hair and curious dark blue eyes.
"Hey, do you guys mind if I sit here?" I ask while interrupting their conversation.
"No you can sit here, I'm Naomi Fitz and this is Jessica Cavanaugh," says the girl with dark blue eyes.
"I'm Tiffany DiLauren-"
"Oh we know. You're all the schools talking about," says Naomi.
"They are?" I ask, sounding surprised.
"Yeah you've been the latest buzz since of your trendy outfits and to having all the boys heading over heels for you," says Naomi.
I guess I didn't notice how many boys liked me, since I've been too busy thinking about my moms and Derek.
"Um Naomi, I think your going to scare Tiffany away by knowing more information about her than she does about her own self," says Jessica budging in.
"I'm sorry, sometimes I can't help myself. I guess I've been hanging out with Katie too much," says Naomi.
"Ya think, and by the way where is Katie? She should be here by now," says Jessica.
From the corner of my eye I see Sasha heading towards our table.
"Is Sasha Brooks heading towards OUR table?" Asks Naomi.
"Wait what?" Asks Jessica, sounding nervous.
After a few seconds Sasha comes to our table and says, "Hey Tiffany! I'm throwing a party tomorrow night at eight thirty and I just wanted to let you know that you're welcome to come." With that she turns and walks away.
"Did Sasha actually invite you to her party?!" Asks Naomi.
"I guess so," I say with a small smile. In the back of my head I'm a bit nervous for the party. Anything can happen there and a wrong move can make me plop down the popularity scale.
"Was that SASHA BROOKS?" Asks a unfamiliar voice from behind me.
"Yes indeed that was, Katie," says Jessica.
"OMG what did she want at our table?"
I turn around to see Katie. She had long dirty blond hair and bright blue eyes like Derek. Her outfit was also very stylish and trendy.
"She just invited Tiffany to her party," says Jessica.
Katie has a huge smile on her face and plops down next to Jessica, across from me and Naomi.
"I'm Katie Rivers by the way."
Derek appears first in my thoughts since they shared the same last name.
"Are you related to Derek Rivers by any chance?" I ask.
"Yeah, we're actually twins. We don't look very much alike but you can tell by the small details."
Suddenly an idea pops up in my head randomly.
"Guys I don't wanna go to this party alone, so I was wondering maybe if you all want to come with me?"
"WAIT REALLY?!" Ask Katie and Naomi in unison.
"But we weren't invited," says Jessica.
"It's fine. Sasha probably won't mind if invite three more people," I say.
"Alright I'll tag along and I'm guessing Naomi and Katie would love to come too."
"I don't exactly have a car so I might need a ride to the party," I say.
"I'll drive everyone. Just Tiffany send me your address. Then I will pick all of you up at eight," Katie willingly says.
I suddenly get a text from my phone and it reads, "See if you can find me at the party. I know I'll find you" -B
Luckily none of the girls saw the message.
I really hope you guys are enjoying the story so far and sorry that I didn't upload earlier enough. I at least made the chapter longer and added a little bit everything. I'm using a computer now to write and I can't figure out how to paste an image. Stay tuned for next time. -May
