(Alison's POV)
Just as Emily asked me that dreading question, heartbreaking memories of that night came flooding in. It was a blessing that Tiffany came into this world, but I can't help but also see the other baby girl that sadly didn't make it.
"Alison I get it if you don't want to talk about it, but I need to know," said Em.
"Is everything alright here?" questions Tiffany.
"Tiffany, there's something I need to tell you, both of you," I say glancing at them both.
"What is it?" Tiffany asks worriedly.
"Let's talk about this in the living room."
Emily and Tiffany both agree and trail behind me once we settle in the white plush couches.
"Something else happened that night you were born," I say looking at Tiff before continuing on. "I was suppose to have twins, but little Rowan didn't make it."
Tiffany and Emily share a gasp.
"The nurse told me that she had trouble breathing and had to be checked on further more. So I stayed in my hospital bed for a little while longer anticipating what was going to happen to Rowan. Moments later the doctor came in and told me that she didn't make it. It was the most heartbreaking thing anyone has ever said to me. I only got to hold her once. She was a beautiful baby. You and Rowan looked very similar with your light brown hair and tan skin."
"I'm so sorry Ali," says Em before she wraps her arms around me while Tiffany remains still.
"I'm sorry Tiffany. I should've told you sooner. I didn't want you knowing that you were missing a part of your life forever."
Tiffany takes one sad look at me and slowly walks away and up to her room.
"It looks like I disappointed Tiffany again. Why can't I be a good mom?," I mumble into Emily's shoulder
"You are Ali, but sometimes families have problems with each other and it's up to them to find their way back. I mean look at Spencer's family, her twin sister played with our lives for the longest time," she says as she pulls away from our embrace. "She will come around and understand."
(Tiffany's POV)
"Can I come over?" I ask on the phone with Jessica.
"Sure, I was actually thinking about inviting all of you over tonight for a sleepover."
"That's great what time should I come?"
"The girls are coming over at 7:30."
"Alright I'll see you later than."
"Bye Tiff."
I rushed over to grab some sweats, a swim suit, and a charger for my phone. I couldn't help, but feel a little excited for my first sleepover with all the girls. I needed something to keep my mind off of my long lost twin and how my own mother didn't even bother to tell me for years.
7:26 pm
Emily and I arrived at Jessica's house a few minutes earlier than the given time. Jessica's house was quite nice and it was also right across from my old home. The Hasting's house or is now the Cavanaugh's still had the barn out in the back, which started the whole 'A' drama.
