What A Predicament

"God! you scared the crap out of me!"

I said sternly, grabbing at my chest. My heart was pulsating into my trembling hands, forcing its way out of my cracking ribcage.

"Yeah well, you two snuck off almost five hours ago. So guess who scared the crap out of us"

Dimitri narrowed his already thin eyes at us as he closed the bathroom door behind him. I looked down at Arden who seemed to be in total agreement with him, her dark threaded eyebrows were knotted together as if she wanted to say something, but couldn't quite find the right words.

"We would of been back sooner if Blythe hadn't fainted"

Ryker shrugged, trying to soften the mood with his dark sense of humour. I slightly lowered my head, embarrassed about what had happened. He really didn't need to tell the others that I had overreacted and made myself so light headed that I passed out, that would only worry them more.

"Fainted? Are you okay?"

Arden inquired with her frail hand wrapped around her mouth as if she was going to be sick. I shook my head nervously, watching her face turn paler than it's usual cream shade.

"I had a stupid panic attack. And then I passed out for a split second. I'm fine"

I cut my eyes at Ryker before jumping off of the sink top and strutting towards the door, stopping dead in front of Dimitri's intimidating stance.

"We better get back whilst everyone's asleep or else.."

Everyone cut me off by nodding in agreement, afraid of what will happen to the Venus group if we were caught wandering outside of the hall. We crept silently down the hallway, me leading ahead with Arden linked in my arm and the boys trailing behind us.

"Do you think everyone's still asleep?"

Ryker whispered to Dimitri who had already began thinking about it himself. He was quite sure that they must of woken up by now seeing as it was early morning. He bit his lip, probably not wanting to think about it.

"They were when we left"

He murmured and then said something else which I couldn't hear clearly. Arden gave me a look which read something along the lines of 'they were, but now they would have to be awake and that means he'll be awake too'

"Guys-"

I stood still, glaring at the double doors that lead into the hall, clutching firmly on to Arden's skeletal arm. My chest tightened so much that I could feel my organs pushing against each other, and my stomach dropped.

"What's up?"

Ryker asked with a tilted head as he began hurriedly jogging up towards us, leaving Dimitri slowly slouching alone.

"What the hell.."

He breathed, taking a few steps back. Everyone widened their eyes in utter disbelief, wondering what could of happened whilst they were gone.

"What? What is it?"

We all gulped back our words, letting Dimitri push past us and burst into the hall himself. His face turned a sickly grey colour and I watched as his body went limp. The hall was completely empty; not a single pillowcase was in sight, let alone a person.

"Where did everyone go?"
