After having a seven hour conversation with Chase, everything's clear to me now. I know exactly what to do. A big year awaits me.
"Hey christie!" Kate screamed my name, as I was heading towards the school building.
"Hey!" I replied with a full on smile.
"Ooh, someone looks happy."
"I am indeed."
"Care to share the reason, babe?"
"Hey love! What's up Christina?" An exuberant Thomas came sprinting towards us. Thank god, I didn't have to answer Kate's question.
"Not much, Tom."
"So, what are you gonna wear at the winter carnival?"
I didn't respond to Thomas's question.
"You aren't coming to the carnival, are you?" Kate certainly anathematized me, in her mind. I just shrugged my shoulders.
"Dude, are you for real?"
"Damn, thug." I laughed at my own sentence, and was eventually joined by the two.
"If you don't come, I'll come to your house, and tell your mom about this stupid decision of yours. We both know what will happen then." Thomas said, smirking, at his victory approaching near.
"Oh no! Then my mom would probably buy a wedding dress for me, which will be the eye catcher, should I be at the top of the ferris wheel."
"Top or bottom doesn't matter, love. You'll always be the head turner." Chase said, joining us. Chase.
"Hey guys!" After maybe ten seconds of the 'Medusa spell', Thomas blinked his eyes. Kate closed her fallen jaw."You know, there's a difference between appal, and shock. You both definitely fit the definition of the first one."
"No...uh, we're just. Um, well we were not expecting you. Out of the blue." said Thomas, carefully including a wide gap between 'you' and 'out of the blue'.
"Geez, chill. I'm just an ex student. Who has decided to join school. Again." Chase replied with his signature smirk.
"Okay...So,how have you been mate?" Thomas managed to get some words out of his mouth.
"That's gonna be a hard question to answer." replied Chase.
"Yeah, well, we were just about leave, okay? So bye!" Thomas said, already taking a few steps away from him.
"Actually guys, you go, I'll show Chase around." Kate was about to stop me, but I had already vanished into thin air by then.*****
"My locker's next to yours, and I've chosen the same periods as yours and Jason's. Now I won't let anything happen to you. Jason won't dare raise his voice with you. If he does, well he knows too well, what's gonna be the repercussion of that." Chase said looking me right in the eye. Should I trust him? Well there's no reason not to. Even though everyone thinks he's the bad guy, my opinions suggest otherwise."I can't thank you enough Chase!" I said, giving him a genuine smile.
"I'll do anything, to see that smile of yours." He said with a pleasant smile. Smile, not smirk.
"PE period." I said, as the bell rang.
"Well let's hit it then baby, shall we?"

"So y'all wanna play football then ?" I heard the coach asking from a distance, as me and Chase were walking towards the rest of the class. The winds today, were in my favour. My hair brushed my face lightly, and I put a strand out of my mouth. Chase looked sideways, and his hands made way through his hair. Yes, that cliche, movie scene. All the girls, were already on their knees. All the guys, couldn't control their gaze. But the best of all. The look on Jason's face. I could clearly read a big 'The fuck.' For a few seconds, we were able to control their black outs, but after recovering, I heard most of them saying, 'What the hell?' Or 'Chase Davenport?' Or 'Does anyone have anything to eat?'."Chase, is that you? Come're my boy!" The coach said, unable to hide his crooked teeth.
"Hey, coach Willy!" Chase said, showing equal enthu.
"Well you're just in time. We were about to start playing football. Now it can be like the old times, eh? Jason, and Chase, divide the teams." The coach said, as if nothing had happened, and Chase was back to school after a little vacation. Clearly, he was the only person happy to recreate the episodes of 'the glory days'. And also girls who wanted a little pleasure by watching Chase and Jason. Play football.
"I wanna play too." I said, breaking the deadly stare show, between the two irreconcilable enemies.
"We're playing football, you know right?" said Thomas, taking a place beside me, almost as if trying to protect me from Jason and Chase.
"Dibs on she'll play better than you, kiddo." Came to the defence ; Chase. Thomas just rolled his eyes, and looked down.
"So Christina's on--" Begun Jason.
"My team." Finished Chase.
"Boys. We haven't got the whole day. Just start playing already, will ya?" The coach interrupted our pretty, little throng.

The atmosphere of the field was electrifying and tense. Both sets of supporters were vociferous in their both vocal (guys), and physical (girls) support for their respective teams. I was standing in the middle of the ground, the ball nearing to me every second, Jason being responsible for it. Just then, I saw Chase try to take the ball from him, and within a second it made way from the ground to my head, with the fullest force. What happened next, became oblivious to me, for all I could see, was an endless stretch of darkness.

Jason's POV
"Why am I always found to be the victim, stuck inside of the prison called 'life', for the sins I never performed? Why does the 'court of sins' never rule in favour of me? Why is the verdict always against me? Why do I always lose the ones who actually care for me?" I thought, laying in my bed, looking at the ceiling. The ceiling which never seemed to offer any solutions.
"What does the fucking bastard, want from me? I just wish, someone would've noticed that it was Chase who slid, and kicked the ball, and not me. Of course, it is impossible, considering the circumstances, which included me running with the ball, and the intentional act of Chase, lasting for only a fraction of a second. Almost the whole freakin school witnessed the incident, and all their weapons point at me. Why would they think, I did it on purpose? What would Christina think? Although, she just fainted for a while, and now is in perfect condition, she still doesn't know that this was just the starting. A blow from football would change into a shot from---What am I thinking? If they knew the truth about Chase. And if they knew, what kind of a monster he was, I'm sure he would be the one locked up in prison. And not the metaphorical one. The real one. Who knows what kind of revenge he is staging up...If I could only find a way to show Christina, who he actually is...But why would she believe me?" My thoughts came to an end, as I stood up, still in a trance, to look at Christina, who I could clearly see from my window, laying on her bed. Just then someone entered her room, and made way to her bed, as suggested by the visibility of my eyes. The anonymous grabbed her face, and smashed his lips on hers. He started to unbutton her shirt, but I could not witness their next move, as the possessor of the green eyes, pulled the curtains.
My cheeks felt wet, as I wore my hoodie, to drive away from this prison.
