Rose is hurt after Dimitri says he doesn't love her anymore, and Lissa isn't helping. So Rose decides to leave for a while, only telling a few people she disappears. Six years later she's summoned back to court after an attack that nearly killed her...
"What if we don't get her back," I whispered staring out the window.
"We'll get Rose back," Christian said hugging me. "She has always been there for you even when she was angry at everyone."
"I know," I sighed. "But you heard what she told us. What if this time she doesn't come back and becomes like them."
"Dimitri is going to bring her here, we'll get our Rose back, and stop court from being a strigoi headquarters." Christian said setting us on the couch, "Then we re going to go away for a little while and get to know our family again. Deal?"
"Okay," I whispered thinking of what Rose told happened to her while she's been gone. --- "You can tell us," Mia said as we all sat around the kitchen. "We're all friends and want to know so we can help."
"I know," Rose sighed. "Six months after I had Andre I was given a job by Tatiana to come back to court and protect Lissa and Adrian."
"What?" Adrian yelled, "You were at court and didn't tell us."
"Sit down," Eddie snapped glarig at Adrian. "Okay Rose."
"As I was saying," I said. "You two went on a trip to Romania to give a speech to a couple of schools, Ethernet night before you left the hotel you where staying at had its wards broken and strigoi where going to attack you but I intervened and they took me instead..."
"Rose," I whispered quietly and she looked up and I saw tears in her eyes. "No..."
"Yes," she said as the tears fell. "I lost control when they...b-bit me. I-I'm t-the reason Wes, Zak, and Amelia are dead and Jesse is a strigoi."
"Your not telling them the whole story," Mark said and Rose turned only for Eddie to wrap her in a hug whispering in her ear.
"Mark hush," Oksana said. "If she wants to tell them she would, if she doesn't she won't."
"Son of a bitch," Eddie's friend cursed and everyone looked at him to see Dimitri holding some kind of file. Dimitri paled before he ran out the door and Rose started sobbing loudly.
"I'm sorry," Rose cried clinging to Eddie. "I never meant to kill them."
"That wasn't your fault," Mikhail said. "Your weren't in control when that happened. You got control back before you killed anyone else."
"But..."
"Hush kiz," Abe said in a cracking voice. "They're still here and alive."
"They wouldn't be if Lissa hadn't said my name," Rose yelled before running up the stairs.
"What?" I asked staring around the room.
"She was going to kill all of you but you said her name and she was able to gain control of herself before anything could happen," Pavel said. "Mark, Mikhail go calm her down and find Andre." ---
"I just hope we're not to late," I whispered jumping when the door burst open.
"What a nice surprise," the girl said and I screamed when I realized who the red eyed girl was.
