On the Edge

Ive been on the edge
with the intent to jump
my life was blocked
by one big hump.
i couldnt see
the end that clear
but i knew it was further
thought it seemed so near
one foot off
a 10 story fall
would i feel the pain
would it hurt me at all?
tunnel vision
came upon me
and there was no one else
that could help me see
my life was on a wire
so thin, so small
but i walked across it
and now im standing tall.
