Holding Alex close her soft breaths calmed my nerves I can't sleep well at night, without knowing she is next to me, her soft breathing told me she was asleep but the tears stains on her cheeks was telling a different story, I rubbed my thumb over her tear stained face wiping away the cold tears.

"I'm sorry Alex, I promise I'll never let this happen again" I kissed her nose as she snuggled closer to me tightening her grip on my shoulders, I wrapped my arms around her waist holding her close trying to let sleep end this horrible day but I was meet with another sleepless night.

I opened my eyes as I felt Alex move away, I was meet with a tearful Alex I pulled her close and whispered soft nothings into her ear, "Did you sleep?" Alex murmured in my ear making me shiver "Yea" Alex glared at me "Don't lie" sighing I knew I couldn't get anything past her.

"No I couldn't sleep" Alex nodded and sat up gripping the sheets tightly, I sat up and kissed her temple as I held her hand in mine, I felt her hands shake knowing her mind was racing with the latest events.

A soft knock broke the silence as Destruc walked in heading over to Alex's side of the bed he cupped her hands, kneeling he looked into her eyes "I'm sorry sweetheart, this shouldn't have happened I hate to do this but we need to have the funeral today." Alex let out a small sob as I pulled her close I felt a lump in my throat preventing me from talking "I'll leave you two alone, I love you both" I nodded my head and held Alex tightly against my chest.

As the door closed I knew I needed to help Alex get ready, she is still exhausted from being in a coma for a whole month and then she is heartbroken from having heard the news of our son's death but I knew I had to be strong for Alex I can't let her see the torment I'm going through with seeing her like this.

I sat up fully and walked around the bed as I pulled the blankets off Alex pulling her legs out from the sheets Alex kept her head down as I moved her to face me.

I bent down onto my knees and placed my head in Alex's lap I rubbed my thumb over her exposed thigh as I sighed I knew I had to be strong for Alex, knowing this is too sudden for her. I felt a hand run through my hair as I gripped Alex's thigh with my hand lifting my head I meet her hazel eyes, I cupped her cheek pulling her closer I kissed her lips missing the connection, pulling away I gripped her hands and led her into the bathroom.

I began the bathwater checking the temperature, I turned to Alex and helped her out of her clothes. She slowly climbed in and leaned back her ducked her head in the water and began cleaning up, I kissed her head and headed to the shower.

3rd Person Pov

Alex sat at her vanity double checking her makeup and hair, her curled hair fell over her right shoulder as she pinned it to one side. She applied another coat of water proof mascara and sat back as her necklace glistened under the harsh lights.

Two large hands gripped Alex's shoulders tightly as she leaned into the touch of her husband and slowly stood up, Josh placed a hand on her waist as he led her to the door meeting Kaz who helped Josh put on his coat then handed Josh Alex's coat helping her with it.

As they walked down the hall the only sound was Alex's heels echoing off the stone walls. Opening a large door to outside Alex and Josh climbed into a black limo waiting for them Josh opened the door for Alex she slowly climbed in sitting next to her dad and saving a seat for Josh.

~ Funeral

"Dust to dust we now have our young prince meet his final resting place that was taken to early from his kingdom, and his family." A demon announced as the small casket was lowered into the cold wet dirt, Alex wiped a tissue under her eyes trying to prevent them from falling. She was startled as Josh slightly shook her shoulder looking up she saw the demon looking at her with saddened eyes "your highness it's time" nodding she gripped Josh's hand as they stepped closer to the casket laying in the ground.

She placed her hand over the hole as Josh did the same small purple glows flowed from their hands into the hole encircling the casket small writing appeared on the casket in a beautiful calligraphy 'Roman Lawrence Alben, A young boy taken to early from his family'.

Alex sobbed as they walked away from the casket and watched as soil was placed over their son. They stayed as many demons spoke to them giving them their condolences, they simply nodded holding each other in their arms as small droplets fell from the sky soon rain poured soaking Alex and Josh, Destruc placed a large umbrella over them and waited until Alex could move.

The ride home was an earie and quit one, no one spoke only soft sobs were leaked through, breaking the silence. Alex had thoughts screaming through her head how she pictured Roman as a child playing with his father and she watched over them with a large smile on her face. Her last conscience thought "My little Roman"

~ 2 years later

Two years have passed Alex has broken through her depression and carries on every day with a small smile on her face, today she believes she can no longer be sad yes there is an emptiness in her heart but she knows the only way to fill it is to kill her son's killer.

Josh entered the library and saw Alex leaning against the wall looking through the window watching the rain leave small patterns against the glass. He crossed the room and kissed her exposed shoulder holding her closely against him, he was feeling a needy sense inside him they haven't been intimate since the pregnancy, he didn't think they were ready not to try but just being that close that started it all.

Alex leaned against Josh as he continued kissing her exposed shoulders then moved to her neck moving to her mark Alex moaned at the shivers and turned pulling Josh closer to her, as she crushed her lip against his slightly biting at his lower lip. She was also feeling needy but she knew they weren't ready but she pushed those feelings aside knowing she needed to have her son as a happy memory not a saddened one.

They pulled away from each other teleporting to their room where they were again reconnected as husband and wife.
