Chapter 2 Together Forever

I woke up to Kegan over my bedside, tapping my arm repetitively. "Sketch, Sketch...c'mon wake up", he said in a soft tone. I sat up in my bed and rubbed my eyes, I was curious about the time I grabbed my phone and glanced at it. 10:34 it read, usually me and Key stay in bed and talk for a while but I guess today was different.

"Ugh, jeez sleepy head." He said.

"Why'd you wake me up, you know seeing how we always talk in the morning?" I said quickly.

"Well today is different since your mom hates my guts now, I'd figured I would leave."

"Key she doesn't hate you...I guess...she's just being weird I don't know." I said while grabbing his arm.

"Yeah whatever, I'll be on my way goodbye Sketch." He said while walking to the door.

"Hey, cmon its Saturday let's do something fun!" I said quickly before he reached for the door.

He stopped and hesitated.

"Oh yeah? Like what?" I said with his eyebrows raised.

"Umm.... I don't know anything!" I suggested.

"God Sketch you better make it worth it." He giggled

"YAYYYY"

I ran and hugged him, "You're the best Key!"

I got dressed in the bathroom and brought us breakfast, we got ready and left. "Just follow my lead, Okay?" I asked Kegan. "Yeah okay." He shrugged. We slowly approached the kitchen with my mom making herself breakfast. My mind in a scramble.

"H-hey mom," I said in a quiet tone.

"What the hell is this Sketch? You sunk someone in my HOUSE without asking?" She yelled.

"Mom, really its Kegan you have known him forever, and plus he didn't want to be with his family you know what he's going through."

"No Sketch it's unacceptable, you're grounded that's final!"

"You know what, you're being ridiculous he's my best friend and he needs me, goodbye!" I yelled I wasn't going to let her keep me away from Kegan.

"Where the hell do you think you're going?" She yelled

"Away from you! C'mon Key lets go."

I slammed the door and got into Kegans car.

Kegan came in the car sofly, he didn't really say anything. He had an odd emotion on his face, I tried to study him, what on earth such a werid look he had on his face. After a minute or so he finally said something.

"Looks like he can't have our grand adventure." Kegan said, with a frown almost a sadness in his tone.

"Why? If its about my mom I don't care! I want to be with my best friend!" I said.

"No Sketch, Mark is in the hospital."

"What! Are you serious?" I panicked.

"My mom just texted, he tired to kill himself Sketch."

My mind tangled, how could Mark do such a thing. It was Kegans youngest brother I mean the kid we rised bascially.

The look on Kegans face was heart renching, I didn't know what would happen next.
