Steff's pov

Aly came into Steff's room crying at 11:00 saying she had a nightmare. Steff let her climb in bed with her.

"I want daddy." Aly said sniffing. "Can we call him?"

"Yeah. One minute." She sent him a quick text.

Steff: Aly woke up and is sad. She wants to call you.

Z: Okay

She called him and put it on speaker. he picked up on the first ring.

Z: Hello.

S: You're on speaker.

Aly: Hi daddy.

Z: Hey princess. How was your day?

A: It was good. Steff got me a new romper.

Z: Really?

A: Yeah it looks like that skirt she wore on the first day she came to our house. And she got me shoes like the ones I spilled ice cream on.

Z: Oh how nice of her. Did you say thank you?

A: Yeah.

Aly yawned, making Zake and Steff laugh. "Looks like someone is very tired." Steff said still smiling. She heard Zake yawn too.

Z: Yeah it's really late. I think I'm gonna go to bed now. Love you girls.

A, S: Love you too.

S: Night.

A: Goodnight daddy.

Z: Good night.

At that, he hung up and they went to sleep. That night Steff dreamed that Zake and Aly moved to Florida and left her alone. She fell into depression.

She woke in the morning feeling like she hadn't slept at all. Aly had already gotten her new romper on and was putting her socks on when Steff went into her room. She helped her with her hair, pulling it up in a ponytail.

Steff got dressed in pink jean shorts and a white tank. When she went out into the living room Aly stood from where she was coloring.

"No, let's match today." She took Steff's hand and lead her back to her room. She opened Steff's closet like she knew exactly what she wanted. She took out the red plaid skirt and gave it to Steff. "Wear this one." She said and went back out.

Steff got a text from Zake when she had finished making pancakes for Aly.

Z: Good morning.

S: Hey handsome.

Z: I'm going to call ya on Skype. I wanna see my girls' faces.

S: Okay two minutes. Let me set up my laptop.

She set it up and the second she logged in she got a call from him. She answered saying, "Aly it's your daddy." Aly jumped up and came into the kitchen.

"Daddy!" She said as Steff sat her on the counter. "Look me and Steff match today!"

"Fun." He smiled. "You should get pictures taken and send them to me."

"Yeah." Steff looked at Aly. "Maybe I can have Scott take a couple when he comes in today."

"Okay. Then daddy can see us matching."

"Yeah." He smiled still. "You both look so beautiful today."

She blushed, "Thank you."

"You're welcome. So what are you girls gonna do today?"
