I walked over to my dad and woke him up. I told him about my door and the window being open. Before I could mention that my closet door was also opened, my dad quickly unzipped his sleeping bag and went through one of the boxes that was in his room. The box he went through was plastic not like any of the other moving boxes, the box base was clear plastic and the lid of the box was a green plastic, in big bold letters across the top of the box written was "EMERGENCY POWER OUTAGE SUPPLIES." Just as I had finished reading this to myself, dad pulled out a giant yellow flashlight. He walked out of the room and closed the door behind him. There was complete silence, I didn't hear a sound. After a long silence, I heard foot steps, then the door slowly creaked opened. It was dad, he walked into the room, my dad said,
"I didn't see anything dear, the best thing we can do is just go back to bed and wait it out till tomorrow, alright."
"Okay, I will go back to my room but if I hear, or see anything dad, can I come and wake you up." He nodded.
