firstly, HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVE yay

secondly, I was writing this last month and I finished, but I forgot to save so the last three pages or so didn't save and I had to write them again and I did that yesterday because I didn't know so sorry if the quality is shit

but this is the last chapter in this story... makes me sappy (:(

BUT ENJOY :)

“Harry come the hell on!” I yelled at him through the open Range Rover window. He was standing at the doorstep, probably saying goodbye to Anne. “Harry!” I yelled again and honked the car horn aggressively.

He turned my way then waived back at the house before he came jogging towards the car.

“Jesus,” he said as he sat in the driver’s seat and put on the seatbelt, “Calm yourself woman.”

I sigh and roll my eyes, “Shut up.”

“You still haven’t changed,” he says, with a smile plastered across his sorry face.

He starts the engine and we head in the direction of Manchester.

After 2 weeks of being stuck in Holmes Chapel with Harry and Gemma and Anne and Robin, I was quite glad to get back into civilization. I mean, I didn’t mind spending that time with them, but it wasn’t just Harry and me in that time. But it was nice to get to know his family a bit better though. Especially after Harry told them that at first we weren’t really dating. So now I’m just glad they didn’t come after me with torches and tridents.

Now, though, we’re going to Manchester to pick up Ed—who’s coming on a plane from New York, and Ana—who’s coming from the shithole that is Split—from the airport to go to Holmes Chapel so we can all spend Christmas together. Even though I had to take two weeks off from the recording of my first album.

It took us a bit less than an hour and a half to get to the airport because of the Christmas Eve rush.

As we got out of the airport parking lot, Harry slipped his hand in mine. After a year and a half of being together, I finally got used to him completely. And it was a great feeling to have someone love you no matter what. So I gripped his hand tightly because I didn’t want to let go of him ever. He’s still an annoying little shit, but he’s my annoying little shit and I love him very very much.

Ana’s plane landed half an hour before Ed’s so we went to get her first.

It was Anne’s idea that we all spend Christmas at their house. She wanted my mum and Chris to come along but they were too busy working.

Mum. Dammit, I’m starting to talk British.

“Are you excited to see Ana?” Harry asks as we enter that part of the airport where you wait for people.

I hadn’t seen Ana since I spent the summer in Split again last time (this time with Harry for a quite long while), so I was definitely excited. And I’d bet she was, too. But that’s partially because she’d be spending a week in a house with Ed Sheeran.

Just as I’m about to answer Harry’s question, I saw Ana coming our way. She saw me before I saw her, so she was already halfway across the room before I realised it was her.

“Car!” she yelled as she collided into me for a hug. I got pushed back by the impact of her hug but I manage not to fall down and hug her. It’s been really long. “I’ve missed you,” she said, her voice muffled by my hair.

“I missed you too.” I close my eyes. As her scent reaches my nose, for a second I feel like we’re back in high school. A lot has happened since then. Too much.
