“Faster,” I moaned and hit the head of the bed with my fist, so close to exploding. “Why can’t this Internet load any faster?!”

Harry came walking in, “Can I help you?”

“Can you tell your Internet that I’ll cut its cables if it doesn’t get faster?”

“It takes a few days for it to fully connect. Sorry.”

I sighed and closed my laptop, hitting my head in the pillow on my couch.

Last night’s been one of the hottest- literally hottest. I know what you meant. Shame on you.- nights of my life. And my skin was sticking to Harry’s so much I thought someone stitched us together.

“Please call someone to fix my bed. I can’t sleep with you another night.”

“Aham…” he smirked, trying not to laugh.

“You drool when you sleep. Try spending a night with that.”

“I’m not that bad.”

“No. You’re worse.”

He sat on the couch opposite of me. “Anyway, it’s Sunday today, and the repair guy doesn’t work. And even if I call him, it’d take him a few days to get everything ready and come. You’re stuck with me a few more days. Sorry.”

I sighed once more. I guess I’ll be sleeping in a sauna for a while longer.

“C’mon,” he got up and offered his hand. I raised my eyebrow. “I’ve got a surprise for you.”

He took my hand and dragged me out of the house, I cursing the entire way. Once we got to the backdoor he put his hands over my eyes and led me somewhere.

“If you’re trying to kill me, it won’t work. I know how to scream so loud you’d hear me all the way to Japan.”

“I’ll remember to put an apple in your mouth when I’m murdering you in the future.”

He stopped walking and took his hands off my eyes. Once I’ve opened them, it took me a while to adjust to the very surprisingly sunny weather. I was standing in front of the garage with the door slowly lifting.

I looked at him in the what-the… kind of way, but he just smiled through his sunglasses.

Sunglasses, I thought, Damn, I would’ve bought them if I knew the sun came here for other reasons but to die.

As the door completely opened, I was left looking at Harry’s usual Range Rover and three more pricy cars, just like any other in the street. On the side of the garage was a red Mini Cooper with a white ceiling that definitely didn’t blend in. It was just a regular car.

Harry walked next to it and took the car keys out, throwing them at me.

I managed to catch them, but was still completely confused.

“You like it?” he asked as I was walking towards him.

“Yeah, but why—” then I looked at the keys in my hand and a light bulb went off in my head. “No way?”

“Yes way. Now sleeping with me doesn’t seem like a big price, does it?”

“It does. But, thank you?” I didn’t intend for it to sound like a question, but it just did.

“Well, Management thought, since you’re already living here, we should get you a car.” He got in and opened the right door for me to get in.

I got in the car and started the engine, drifting into the London streets. I felt a bit sick from driving on the left since I’ve spent my life driving on the right and right side of the road, but other than that, I drove like a pro.
