Lucinda knocked on the door of Liv's and Luke's dorm. Liv opened the door and smiled. "Luci?" Lucinda smiled at twin. "Hey. Get ready. I am taking you and Luke to dinner." Three of them sat and eat. Lucinda looked up at twins. "I hope you know that I will protect both of you. Kai won't hurt you I promise." Luke smiled. "We know, Luci. Thank you for taking care of us." Lucinda giggled. "You are like my kids. I will never have kids so the two of you are the closest thing." Luke and Liv smiled. "You are like our mother. Since ours isn't really there for us." Lucinda's phone ringed. She answered it. "He did what? I'm coming." Lucinda looked at twins. "Kai took Jo. I have to go. We'll finish our dinner another time. I am sorry." Luke looked worried. "Can I come with you?" Lucinda shook her head. "No. It's better if you two don't get close to Kai. Don't come." Lucinda left. When she arrived a scream bubbled up inside her. So that's what she did. She screamed. Scream shook everything. She run towards the centre of park and saw two bodies. She run towards Luke. His eyes were closed. Kai was a couple of feets away. Lucinda sat next to Luke and Jo who was holding her little brother. Lucinda started crying. "Luke? Why did you come? I told you to stay there!" He opened his eyes but died immediately after that. Lucinda's heart stopped for a moment. She saw Kai smiling. "You win some. You lose some. I? I always win." His eyes looked at Lucinda. Kai felt guilt again. He didn't like when she cried. Kai disappeared and Lucinda looked at Luke. She kissed his cold hand. "I am so sorry. I should've have been here. I am so so so sorry, Luke. It's my fault." Lucinda was at Salvatore house. She was spaced out. Damon looked at her worried. He never saw her be this sad. Yes, she lost a lot of people but she was never this sad about it. She really loved Luke. Lucinda was angry. Angry at Kai for killing him, angry at Luke for leaving her and angry at herself for not stopping Kai. Liv walked into room and saw Lucinda. Lucinda stood up and Liv hugged her. "Mom, he left me." Lucinda started crying. "People that love us never really leave us. They will always be in our hearts." That night Liv slept next to Lucinda. She was afraid to sleep alone. They were each others safe place.
