Road trip

Third POV

Annabeth was reading a book while listening to the river. It was peaceful, that was until Percy and Lucy were racing down to the river and Lucy stopped suddenly and Percy stopped too, but fell face first in the sand. "Yes guys?" Annabeth said as she put down her book. "We're going to California!" Lucy said while doing jazz hands. "So pack your bags we're going!" Percy said excitedly. "Well Percy have you and Lucy packed your bags?" Annabeth said while smiling. Lucy snapped her fingers and immediately four bags appeared. "Indeed we have future sister-in-law." Lucy said wiggling her eyebrows and smiling at the last part while Percy and Annabeth blushed red. "I'll go get the others." Percy said and walked away. Then Lucy walked over and sat down next to Annabeth. "You do like my brother do you?" Lucy said while drawing something in the sand. "Of course I would even say I love him. He fell in...that place...with me when he could've just let go of me, I love him Lucy, I truly do love him." Annabeth said and Lucy was done drawing in the sand and Annabeth looked and when she saw, she instantly hugged Lucy. She drew Ethan. Lucy was now crying, she hated crying but she can't help it. "Okay lets not make this to emotional." Lucy said laughing a little while wiping her tears away. "You can alway talk to me Lucy." Annabeth said and Lucy nodded. A few minutes later Percy, Jason, Piper, Leo and Nico walked to Lucy and Annabeth with bags. "Where's Hazel and Frank?" Annabeth asked. "They have to go on an errand for my dad." Nico said and clutching the handle of his duffle bag. Leo kissed his forehead. "They'll be fine." Leo said to Nico. "Well we need someone to drive...Lucy?" Percy asked while doing his whole helpless seal eyes. With a sigh Lucy agreed. "Yay! My car is parked outside the border." Percy said excitedly. "Woah hold up what about monsters? My scent is like two time stronger than the big three children so---" "Lucy calm down I convinced Zeus that he would kill any monsters within a five mile radius." Piper said with a smile showing that she probably used her charmspeak. "Okay fine lets go see your friends." Lucy said and hey began walking.

Lucy did not like driving. The one things she hated the most: be patient. "Guys what if I created a wave to pass over the bridge and wash down the car behind us!" Percy said excitedly and Leo and Piper cheered for him to do it. "No! Percy if you do that I will leave you in a ditch and this time I won't look for you!" Lucy said in her stern voice. "Sorry....space mom." Percy said, mumbling the last part. "Percy that's Allura's nickname." Annabeth said and everyone didn't know the fuck they were talking about. "So...Annabeth tell me about this group of people....are they nice people?" Jason said. Annabeth turned around and met with Percy's eyes and they laughed. "You guys I hope that camp half-blood isn't feeling muggy outside right? That would be a shame...." Percy said and as soon as he said, Lucy swerved of the road and parked next to the road. They all looked at Percy with a cold stare. "Percy....I swear if you put all of the mugs outside of camp half-blood. I will change the color of your hair." Lucy said, Percy looked down and Nico and Leo were struggling not to laugh. Percy mumbled a incoherent 'sorry' but Lucy picked it up. Lucy sighed. "Percy you are lucky that we are Arizona right now and not near New York okay?" Lucy said as she began to drive and Percy nodded. And with that they began back on the road. Lucy would release a occasionally curse, one or two. There was this one driver that cut her off and she released a long string of curses. She could've said more if it wasn't for Jason who clamped his hand over her mouth. "Lucy there are young kids here like Nico, so don't say those----fuck!" Jason let go of her mouth. Apparently Jason isn't that shock proof than he thought. "Jason Nico is technically older than all of us." Percy said and Jason narrowed his eyes at him. It was already getting dark so Lucy told the rest that they can sleep. "Are you sure? I can always drive for you. You've been driving a lot." Percy said and Lucy shook her head. "No it's fine I can handle it." Lucy said and Percy began to fall asleep along with the rest. Jason and Piper were snuggled together with a blanket. Percy was asleep with a new 'Perry' that Annabeth got him while she was was sleeping with a pillow sized seal plushie that he got for her. Leo and Nico however, they had drank like three Red Bulls and they were not in looking sleepy. They were playing mythomagic. "Guys go to sleep." Lucy said as she kept driving. "Never!!!" They said while giggling as they fell down on the floor of the car seat that they had all by themselves. "You guys are lucky that Percy has two row seats not including the drivers and passengers seat." Lucy said and they kept giggling. Lucy smiled and shook her head. "Lucy stop by rest stop I need to use bathroom." Nico said while giggling. Energy drinks are for sure a absolute no for him. Lucy drove off from the nearest exit and stopped by a rest stop. Nico got out and ran to a trash can and threw up. "Leo...." Lucy said as she turned around looking at him. "He likes the taste but it doesn't settle in his stomach." Leo said and giggled more and fell down on the car floor. Nico got in and sat in his spot. "Can we rest for now... spawn those wolf things and go to sleep I can sense that you really want to sleep." Nico said and continued to giggled. "I'm never giving you anything alcoholic to ever. Heck you even act drunk when you have an energy drink, an ENERGY DRINK!!" Lucy said and she spawned her wolves, outside of the car. "Good night guy and wake me up if something happens don't be the hero."(There's a word in there that belongs to a quote) Lucy said to Nico and Leo and they both nodded who were now starting a new round of mythomagic. She closed her and began to fall in a dreamless sleep.
