The One That Got Away

Chapter 2

"Harry?"

"Hey" Hey? What is he doing here?

"What are you do-" He cuts me off pressing his lips into mine.

I'm so vulnerable when he's around. My God he kisses so good. Amber snap out of it! I'm trying to pull away but his grip is too strong against mine. He licked my bottom lip and I couldn't resist myself. I gave in allowing him to shove his tongue in my mouth. Amber wait! Don't do this again! He's your best friend's boyfriend! What are you doing?! Somehow I manage to pull away from his grip and break the kiss.

"Why did you do that?" I ask him. Why did I gave in and kissed him back? Why?!

"You kissed back"

"I told you we needed to stay away. It was a mistake, I gave you the wrong idea. You're my best friend's boyfriend! For God's sake!"

"Then why did you kissed me back?"

"I tried to pull away from you but you are too strong for me"

"Seriously, that's your excuse? Admit it, you have feelings for me and you know it."

"No Harry I-"

"I hate when you do this! All of those excuses you make every time I talk about you and I together are only for yourself, cause I ain't buying any of that bullshit."

"Harry, please don't."

"You feel the same way I do but you.." There's a knock on the door. I turn around to see who's there and I realize that we never closed the door. It was Niall. Did he hear everything?

"What is he-" Niall trails off. "I guess you're busy, I'll just go." He starts leaving. He heard everything I guess. Damn!

"No, wait! Niall he was just leaving. Niall!" Zack's eyes widen to my reaction. "You need to leave" I tell Harry holding his arm while walking towards the door.

"Amber we haven't fini-"

"Yes, we have." I shove Harry out of my apartment and Niall came in.

There's been a silence for minutes which felt like hours. The room is too tense to even breath. Niall has been looking at me with disappointment in his eyes. I have to say something.

"Umm...what happened with Nicole?" He didn't answer he just looked at me. "Say something please?"

"I canceled on her just to surprise my 'best friend' but when I come to her apartment I see Harry, her 'best friend's boyfriend' by the way, telling her to admit she feels the same way he does! What the fuck was that about!?" Damn it! He heard everything.

"That's what I wanted to talk about with you earlier."

"And you didn't think it was important?"

"I didn't want you to cancel on Nicole." It's true, he didn't have to cancel on her now I feel bad for her. If I was her and my boyfriend cancel on me so he could be with his best friend, I would be so mad. But I really need to tell someone about all of this and it can't be Leah.

"Well, I'm waiting" He impatiently said. I'll guess I have to tell him everything.

"I guess I'll start since the beginning when we both met. No questions until I finish."

"Well?" Okay now he's just being bitchy.

"Okay! Okay! Jeez.."

*Flashback*

"I can't believe it! Our first day of college!" I am so excited, this is finally happening! Leah and I are finally going to college!

"AHHHHHH!!!" We screamed in unison.
