The crisp air blew into the den, with a chill of spring. Stormchaser got up and stretched. He walked out of the den, and looked around sniffing the air. Windpaw walked out of the apprentice's den, and walked toward him. "Good Morning Windpaw" Stormchaser greeted, sitting down in front of her. "Are we going to go hunting today?" Windpaw asked, sitting next to him. "If you would like" he said with a smile, getting back up. Windpaw got up as well, and walked toward the gorse tunnel, with Stormchaser catching up. Stormchaser bounded around, following the path to Owl Tree. "Can't we go somewhere else?" she groaned, tilting her head. "Owl Tree is where we're gonna hunt, ok?" he replied. She rolled her eyes, and continued on. After they they got back, they put there fresh kill in the pile, and took some for themselves. Windpaw took a mouse, and walked toward the apprentice's den. She lay down, and started to eat the mouse. Dustpaw padded over, and sat down with her, with a vole next to him. "Hi" she said, getting up. "Do you want to go somewhere tomorrow, at dawn?" he asked. "Sure" she decided. When she finished the mouse, she put her paws under her face, and rested.
Dustpaw nudged Windpaw with his nose. Windpaw shot up, and looked around to see him. He padded to the tunnel, with her behind him. As they were reaching Sunning Rocks, a tall figure came out of the bushes. "Go back to the camp you two!" Stormchaser demanded. The two apprentices leaped back in surprise. "I don't want little cats getting hurt by Wispclan!" he yelled. Windpaw and Dustpaw walked back to the camp, with depressed looks, and empty paws. "Where is the fresh kill?" snarled Graypelt from the shadows. "We were ordered back to the camp" replied Dustpaw. "Fine then, go back to your den!" he commanded. The two padded to the den, and lay down next to each other. Stormchaser, and a couple other cats rushed in the tunnel. "Rosestar!" Stormchaser yelled. Rosestar pounced out of her den towards him. "What is it?" she replied. "Me and Skinnypelt found sign of Leafclan and Oceanclan in our territory again!" he growled. Rosestar gasped.
