A Tail To Tell

STORY TIME!!!

Today, the Alicorn Island is a place of peace, harmony and joy. Yet a millennia ago, the land we know now was nearly lost.

Almost three years before Luna's banishment, there was another pair of sisters living happily on the island. They loved each other very much, and spent almost every minute of every day at each other's sides. Things couldn't have been better for the two, but things got even better when the younger found that she was carrying a foal. The two were absolutely ecstatic that they would soon be mother and aunt. Though the elder sister did notice that the baby was stealing some of her attention, she never let that bother her. She was going to become an aunt, and that made it worth it. The two sisters were at their highest and happiest point. However, not all happy moments end that way.

You see, for the past few months from when the baby was found out to that fateful day, something had been watching the elder sister. It's still unknown exactly what force it was, but we do know was that that fateful day was when it decided to attack. Freezing the younger sister in place, she could only watch in horror as her elder sister was taken over by this force. Once the force's black clouds cleared, and the younger sister was unfrozen, there stood Mary Sue, nothing more than a hollow shell of who she once was.

Almost immediately, Mary Sue went on her rampage, stealing the magic of everypony unfortunate to cross her path. The younger sister wanted to fight against or try to reason with her sister, but she did not want to endanger her unborn baby's life. She tried to retreat and escape the island, but a magic shield put up by a terrified alicorn prevented her from doing so. Left with no other choice, she was forced to travel through space and time to a time where she could raise her baby in peace, traveling to Equestria 15 and a half years before Luna's release.

Meanwhile, in just a few hours, Mary Sue was well on her way to taking all the magic on the island. However, there was one group of ponies that stood in her way. Six alicorns, each possessing the noblest traits anyone can have bestowed. After a long and hefty battle that lasted two days, the six alicorns defeated Mary Sue, encasing her in a stone able to absorb any outside magic. The magic of all the alicorns was restored, Mary Sue's stone was sent across the sea, and harmony has reigned supreme on the Alicorn Island for generations since.

(CUPCAKE SPRINKLES steps off the statue, looking very intrigued.)

Cupcake Sprinkles: That was an amazing story! Thank you for telling it.😄

Prince Spirit: You're very welcome.😌

(CUPCAKE SPRINKLES looks over at MUSICAL NOTE, who was just blushing. She facepalms and then approaches her.)

Cupcake Sprinkles: Uh, Musical?😕

(MUSICAL NOTE shakes her head and returns to reality.)

Musical Note: I'm on Earth!😧

Prince Spirit: So, have you guys had any family problems in your lives?😕

Musical Note: Well, we were never able to have a solid dad in our lives. First, my mom married a nice orphanage governist and got pregnant with my sister. And then after he died, my mom gave birth to my sister, then married a Royal Guard member and got pregnant with me. And then after he died-🙁

Window Alicorn: Hey!😀

(MUSICAL NOTE, CUPCAKE SPRINKLES, and PRINCE SPIRIT look over to the windows, seeing a light blue alicorn with a white mane and red-violet eyes staring upside down through one of the stained glass windows.)

Window Alicorn: Can I come in?😃

Prince Spirit: Uh, I can't right now.😲

(WINDOW ALICORN moves out of view of the window hissing. After a few seconds, a loud stomping sound starts to echo from on top of the roof.)

Cupcake Sprinkles: Well, she doesn't sound too happy.🙁

(A piece of the ceiling cracks and breaks off. It hits PRINCE SPIRIT's horn, causing a large crack to extend across it.)

Musical Note: AAAAAAAH! Oh my gosh, your parents are gonna kill us!😱

(A bright light shines from the crack on PRINCE SPIRIT's horn and engulf his horn entirely. When the light clears, the crack is completely gone. MUSICAL NOTE and CUPCAKE SPRINKLES are in complete shock.)

Musical Note: What-😳

Cupcake Sprinkles: Just-😳

Musical Note: Happened?😳

Prince Spirit: Something with true alicorn magic or something. I still don't understand how or why it happens.😕

Cupcake Sprinkles: So, let me get this straight. Whenever anyone here damages their horn, their true alicorn magic regenerates every bit of damage that just happened to it?😟

Prince Spirit: Pretty much, except if it's damaged by the root. Damage to the root can never be repaired, be it Equestrian or not.🙁

Cupcake Sprinkles: Oh, okay.😄

Prince Spirit: Now, there's more to see here than just the throne room. It's best we continue on with the tour.😊

Cupcake Sprinkles: Let's ago!😆

(PRINCE SPIRIT, MUSICAL NOTE, and CUPCAKE SPRINKLES walk up the stairs to the thrones and round a corner, disappearing out of sight.)
