Aleksander's POV

"Belle wake up" I said shaking her, I lifted her eyelids but they were rolled back into he head.

"What do we do Alexei?" I asked him.

"I want you to take her to the cabin, away from any prying eyes and stay there with her, I feel that we aren't alone in these woods"

I looked around the clearing and into the forest thicket, I could sense them too.

Three Jiyan warriors.

I nodded and I picked up Belle bridal style and ran to the cabin with speed that would rival any human.

I opened the front door to the log cabin by kicking it with my leg, this cabin was often used by Nijian when they came to the human world. It was well concealed from the human race as it was hidden in the middle of a large forest.

I walked through the foyer and into a small room with a single bed pushed up against the wall, chest of draws and a wardrobe.

There was a small window letting small streams of moon light in the room.

I carefully placed Belle on the bed and pulled the thin sheets over her sleeping self.

I sat down on the edge of the bed and watched over her, she truly had become one of us, with her beautiful patterned arms leading up to wrap around her beautiful face.

Her eyes when she looked at me were truly mesmerizing, one a vibrant violet that burnt with ferocity and the other an ice blue us Nijian were so well known for.

I guessed the reason why she had blacked out was she wasn't used to the force of the power that surged through her.

And that was a very large amount of power, our deceased King and Queen were very powerful coupled with her own power, was sure not to go down well.

"Aleksander you have a enemy headed your way I couldn't hold off, turns out there was five not three" he said into my head

Each Nijian has a special power that is unique to them, no Nijian family had the same. Alexei had telepathic powers whilst I could produce electrical force fields.

I wondered what power she had, it was often that Nijian children would inherit the same powers as their parents as I did, as my Mother had the power of electrical force fields.

But we never knew what power the King and Queen possessed, one of the reasons why everyone was wary of the power they held. It could not be rivaled.

I heard a smash in another room of the cabin, I made sure to put a force field around Belle's sleeping form so no body could swoop in and snatch her whilst I dealt with the Jiyan warrior.

I quietly crept around the cabin looking for any signs of the intruder, I heard another crash coming from the kitchen and I crept up to the door pressing my back gently against the wall.

I felt for my sword that was attached to its hilter that was wrapped around my waist as footsteps approached the door I held my breath in anticipation and stepped out from my hiding position.

"Put your hands up Jiyan" I spat icily

The man immediately put his hands up in surrender and dropped his weapon.

"Now kneel to the ground" I said coldly he stood there not listening to my command "I said kneel" I shouted in his face.

"I will not kneel to Nijian scum, the only person I will ever kneel to is my King" he spat

I drew my sword from it's sheath and ran it through his chest immediately killing him.

The door opened to the left of me and a disgruntled Alexei walked in closing the door behind him. He looked from me to the dead corpse in front of him, I put back my sword in its sheath and stood straight.
